I would not recommend Pearl of the Island in Hollywood, FL. We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and the entire experience was unprofessional from start to finish. Our waitress barely paid attention to us because she was too busy dancing with her friends on the dance floor. When we needed assistance, the manager was completely unreliable and offered no support.

What made things even worse was the way birthdays were handled. Every Haitian guest celebrating received the lights and “happy birthday” sign—but my daughter was completely ignored. That kind of treatment felt unfair and downright disrespectful.

To top it off, we were charged for stale coconut shrimp that should never have been served in the first place. Between the poor service, lack of professionalism, and disrespectful handling of our celebration, this restaurant ruined what should have been a special night for my family.

The atmosphere was fun, but the service was horrible. The coconut shrimp were disgusting and tasted stale, though the plantains topped with shrimp were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the service ruined the experience.

Our waitress only took half the order before walking away, leaving my mom and sister waiting almost 35 minutes just to place their order because she was nowhere to be found. When we finally got her attention, she was dancing and texting instead of taking care of her tables.

I 10/10 do not recommend coming here if you actually want to receive decent food service. The vibe was good, but the experience was a major disappointment. Plus I got smacked in the eye with the Haitian flag the waitress was carrying around.

The manager on duty was absolutely useless. He wasn’t the least concerned that his staff dropped the ball. He was too busy smoking hookah at the Dj booth. Service like this gives establishments like this a bad name. I will not be back to spend my hard earned money in a place like this.

Drea is the Best Waitress here. Ask for Drea when you come. Food is 10 out of 10.

This place never misses! The food, service, and ambiance is always great! My server Marie made my night she was very knowledgeable, patient, attentive, and friendly! When my my dad had a million questions she took the time to answer everyone. I love this place 10/10 would 💯 recommend!

My cousin had her bridal proposal here, I’ll tell you this I’ve been to Pearls before but not in an intimate setting. Our waitress was Marie and she was so attentive, so kind, and was all around catering to us as a party and I truly did enjoy today. I had one crab from the Lalo and llllliiisssttteeeeeennnn that’s all I’m going to say.

Pearl of the Island Cuisine & Lounge is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a nice blend of culture and comfort. If you’re looking for authentic island flavors, this place delivers.

The food was flavorful and well-prepared, capturing that true Caribbean taste. The vibe was relaxed yet lively, making it a great spot for both casual dining and a night out. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for delicious island cuisine and a good time!

We had a large party for a birthday. Everything tasted good. Music was entertaining. Atmosphere was nice. The best part of the evening is our Rachel. She was precise, quick, efficient,but most importantly kind with a welcoming smile.

Man Listen If I Could Rate 0 Stars I Would I Am Haitian American & This Was My First Time Trying Pearl Of The Island When I Say This Restaurant Is Overpriced And The Quality Of The Food Is Terrible I Ordered A Fried Turkey That Was Heavly Salted No SEASONING or Good Taste This Restaurant Is Overhyped For Nothing I Will Never Ever In My Life Spend My Money On A Plate Of Trash Again I’m So Disappointed $24.95 I Could’ve Gotten Some Food From A Restaurant With Better Quality Tasty Food Never Again I Wish I Could Get My Money Back Thats How Upset I Am That I Wasted My Money On This Restaurant Whoever They Got Back Their Cooking The Food Need To Be Fired ASAP!!

Best Haitian food! Great vibe and atmosphere. Drea was amazing—she made sure we had a wonderful time and served us the best cocktails. Highly recommend!
