Our group had reserved dinner event for some 50 people. The plant-based (vegan) dinners did not have any main course only rice and veggies and the vegans all left hungry! Every other plate had salmon, steak or a burger, could there not be something like a veggie burger or a portobello?

Really good mixed drinks. Stopped by on the way to dinner with family, and Peter really took care of us. Even called the place we went to to make sure we paid for parking. Saved me from a big ticket. 10/10. We’ll be back for food and more!

The ambience is inviting. Jorge, the waiter, was very pleasant and professional. The food is well seasoned, eloquently platted, and to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant. Bon appétit!

They closed early. I would not recomnend. Its a beach community and we were visitng and wanted a late dinner. The person at the door said business was slowe and did not seem tobe aware of a reservation or opentable.

This was a hidden gem! The atmosphere was eclectic but the food and service Was nothing less than spectacular! We had complementary herring fritters from the chef, and they were delicious! The server was on spot and provided great attention to us. We had Octopus and stuffed flounder with black mushroom rice. DELISH! We ordered the tiramisu for dessert to go, but they were out, so they provided a complementary piece of Tres leches cake. We were so impressed and delighted, we tipped the chef $20 in addition to our meal tip. Highly recommended and we will come back! Thank you for an amazing evening!

In town from Dallas and made a trip into downtown Hollywood from the beach for some dinner. From the start, all the staff were very friendly. Gina, Rene, and Valentina were the best. (Okay, all those names are made up, but the service was great.)

Wife and I had some nice drinks while listening to a great jazz band, Off the Deep End (special props to the trumpet player). Everyone in the house loved them.

We started with the calamari. Wife had the stuffed flounder and I had the shrimp scampi... very nice. Chef came out to great us, which was a very nice touch.

We loved the vibe of it all. Everyone killed it. Came here for dinner, stayed for hours.

The food is so good and the owner/chef is very welcoming. Try the surf and turf with black rice and you won’t regret it. The tree leches is good too.

Chef Ivan did once again! The Braised Ox Tail was beyond amazing. Every time I try a different dish, and this one just hit the right notes. His cooking has the right flavor. I like the portions, you don't feel that you stuffed yourself nor guilty to take it home because it was so much.
The red sangria was just the right thing to order. I'm glad Definitely a Gem!

My wife and I celebrated our birthday with at dinner at the restaurant and were treated to a royal time. We highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great time eating and drinking in a fine atmosphere.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for some time and now I’m having the time. I visited on a Friday night and there was no one there upon my arrival. Placed order over 20 min in advance. Got there and the chef tells me he didn’t make the food because he wasn’t sure of my order on his end. I was very confused because the online ordering system is connected to restaurant. Anyway so I ended up waiting for about 10 minutes for food. Food smelled good, but when I got home to eat it, I was very displeased. Ordered shrimp tacos and saw that they were full of grease and the shrimp were not cooked fully. Also ordered a pasta and it was ok but everything was rushed even though they were not busy. Peppers for the pasta were oddly chopped very large. Chef was previously seen on food network for a different restaurant so I don’t know what to say really. I was very displeased with my experience. Staff seemed nice though and ambiance overall was romantic.

Food, Ambiance and service was great. My wife and myself met up with some friends. We had the N.Y strip, Crab stuffed mushrooms, Blackened Mahi-Mahi and Black mushroom rice. Chef Ivan surprised us with an appetizer. Amuse-bouche, if I remember correctly. Redwood really created a special evening. Definitely a hidden gem in downtown Hollywood.
