The food was good but we waited 45 minutes for it! That despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty and there were at least 5 servers wandering around. It could be because it was early (6 pm)

Stopped for lunch...just happened by for a restaurant that had closed down. WOW! Will definitely come back. Had chicken ka bobs. Black mushroom rice. Tasty. Cooked to perfection. Hubs had flounder fish and chips. Breading was beyond light and tasty. Place is spotless! Can't wait to

This restaurant is the best I was just walking and I came in for lunch I had a little breakfast and lunch the initial place I was going to was closed but I ran into one of nicest waiters and helped me with the menu I believe his name was Franco and of course the Chef Ivan made all my dishes to perfection i even got a desert after never really had Mediterranean food so glad I got that off my list

There was a whole lip stain on my wine glass, glad I caught it before drinking from that, plus the food was mediocre, particularly the “jerk” pasta. The waitress was very nice but overall, extremely disappointing. Please do not write inviting me back right away. Make your improvements, clean your dishes, season your food then invite customers back.

We were so excited to try this new restaurant in downtown Hollywood, and it did NOT disappoint. The Guy Fieri endorsed local chef, Ivan Dorvil, has put together a delicious Caribbean Italian fusion menu. We started with the bruschetta, which my wife declared was the best she ever had. For entrees, I had the chicken curry while my wife had the jerk chicken penne pasta - both delicious! For dessert, we shared a tiramisu, which was great as well. A big shout out also to our server Sergio, who made us feel warm and welcome. We will definitely be back soon, and I hope everyone tries and supports this fabulous local independent restaurant.Updating this review as we just tried the restaurant for brunch and it was outstanding! The french toast was absolutely delicious, as were the breakfast potatoes. My son had the breakfast sandwich, which he really enjoyed. Very nice to have a great breakfast and brunch option in downtown Hollywood!

I have been here about ten times and each time it’s been BRILLIANT.Just go in and get seated. You’ll find the service staff are polite and professional.Chef will often visit the table to greet you and have a chat. The meals are fantastic. We enjoy the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower with chili sauce.I’ve had the fish; succulent. My husband had the pasta Bolognese , appetizer of Mofongo and the ribs (over the top)!!! He cleaned his plate. There are a few vegetarian options on the menu as well. Yummy! The rice is very delicious. It is the best rice ever tasted.Desserts are fantastic. The coconut crème brûlée is exquisite.Parking: There is a large parking lot justA block and a half away

The drinks were excellent while I was seated at the bar! The chef even came out to greet us and thank us for coming in, and the food was incredible. The food and beverages were exceptional, and the atmosphere was ideal. Will return without a

I'll begin by saying the restaurant has a cool inviting atmosphere. Staff were smiling and we had high hopes. My family and I eat out at least 4 times a week and we enjoy trying local restaurants. In this case unfortunately it was not good. The service was very slow and the drinks were poor. I sent back my drink due to the alcohol seemed to have been forgotten to be added, the other drink never came and I had to go to the bar myself to get it. The curry chicken was served cold, since our server didn't check on us to ask if the food was prepared correctly it was not corrected. Our water glasses were never refilled either and dessert wasn't even offered. In all, this was a one-timer for us. We wish the restaurant good luck but we will spend our money elsewhere.

We have dined here multiple times since Redwood first opened, both with large groups and as a couple. Every time, the service is warm and gracious, the food delicious and the atmosphere delightful. So happy to have the addition of a talented chef's unique vision to our downtown Hollywood restaurant scene. Chef Ivan is the best!

We waited 45 minutes for our breakfast. We order a breakfast sandwich, which was supposed to come on a Kaiser roll, it was a hamburger bun. The cheese was not melted and the one piece of bacon was raw. They charged for a refill of coffee. It was 2.99 on the menu but charged us 3.99 per cup. The owner asked how was our breakfast and we told her. The only thing that she said to us was I hope your football team wins. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, unfortunately I know a lot of people.....

I live in the neighborhood and walk by this place often so decided to try. As we walk in, the place is relaxing and inviting, however, this is where the pleasantries end. We ordered our meals, everything came out luke warm, no flavor or spice. My younger sister didn't enjoy her dish so we asked to order something else. A guy comes from the back and I realize it's the same chef(Ivan) from Ivan's Cookhouse in North Miami which is terrible. He comes to the table with an attitude, his chest poked out telling us he didn't put any coconut her dish. It was supposed to be a jerk chicken pasta, however it was some coconut creamed chicken over penne pasta. Needless to say, any chef would have asked how he/she could make it right...that didn't happen. No need to take it off the bill, I'll pay the $21, but will never walk in here again, and will make sure to let others know. Harrison St is unforgiving, so this place won't last long. Want an amazing meal and superior service, walk up the street to Carmela's, it never disappoints.
