If you want a no frills, simple, exceptionally well priced, and good spot for breakfast or lunch then THIS IS FOR YOU! I’ve had enough paying $25 for two scrambled eggs on avocado toast. The family and I stumbled into this place (actually had to search for it because it’s in what looked like a closed office building) and we are happy we did. The place is kind of like a time capsule from the decor to the wait staff and the prices. Reason for the 4 stars is that some of the stuff that doesn’t get much attention seemed a bit dirty, like the blinds.

The absolute quintessential classic Cafe 👌. The food is excellent. The prices are very competitive. The service is so good you can call it down home comfortable. Most of the staff are long timers, so it just adds to the familiarity on repeated visits. Even over long time gaps. The owner has been running the host counter since my dad took me there when I was a little kid. Today we had 3 generations at once at the restaurant. Age rage from 75 to 15.

If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot that serves food like remember your mom making then Taft Street Diner is the place. We have been going there for years and have never been disappointed. They serve all the breakfast standards and more. they are very family friendly and when my daughter was little she loved going there for their chocolate chip pancakes.
