Tardes Caleñas Bar Restaurant

Bartender has attitude problems when she gets your order wrong due to talking instead of paying attention. Something so small that could have been a simple misunderstanding turns into giving customers attitude for their mistake.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. While the food itself was good, the service was extremely poor. From the start, we did not feel welcomed or valued as paying customers, and our concerns were completely dismissed. Later, a manager (a thin woman in her 30s) appeared, but the interaction only made things worse. We left feeling unwelcome and unheard. With so many great restaurants in the area that truly appreciate their customers, I suggest spending your money elsewhere.

Arrived late (around 1am) on Saturday.

Place was packed, making it difficult to know when to stand or where to dance.

Music was good

Neighborhood seemed safe, I walked back to my guest house and didn't feel threatened

Restaurant/club the food was really yummy. And the best part was the kitchen stays open until 4am. Some days they have live bands. The staff is friendly and full of beautiful girls everywhere lol. Really good music. Definitely a place to come enjoy yourself solo or with a bunch of friends.

They have a cover charge, service is crappy with an 18% tip included and will not give you a glass of water.

Horrible service if you are a women, all the servers here are females that only smiles to guys. Don’t watch your face Eve though your are making an order, they rush you to make the order but smiles and flirts with the guys. The manager is super cutting down neither to follow a conversation when you ask her for something, but talk and says but to all male customers when they are leaving. Without see your face taking the order. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I went to make at order to pick up because I called 5 times by phone and nobody answered the phone, I asked to her about it and she answered me, what do you want to order?

service is horrible. servers never return to ask if u want something else. you have to hunt the down. missing silverware. missing plates. liked the food. but staff needs to learn how to provide service. garbage

We went to Tardes Caleñas this past Friday because we wanted to enjoy the empanadas again and try some other dishes like chorizo and morcilla to share. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the very beginning.

The service was terrible. The waitress had such a negative attitude that as soon as we arrived, it felt unwelcoming. In a restaurant, you expect kindness and hospitality, but here it was the complete opposite.

We ordered drinks and some empanadas with the idea of ordering more dishes and enjoying our time there. However, the waitress rushed us with the comment: “Are you going to order something else?” The moment she said that, we were completely disappointed. That attitude was enough for us to leave this place.

As for the food, the empanadas were not authentic Colombian empanadas at all. The filling tasted like blended meat instead of the traditional chopped meat we are used to in Colombia not good at all.

In conclusion: poor service, rude attitude from the staff, and food that doesn’t live up to expectations. Definitely not worth it.

I’ve visited Tardes Caleñas twice, and the food is truly authentic Colombian dishes full of flavor. The music and atmosphere create a fun and lively experience, perfect for both dining and a night out. That said, the service was disappointing both times. The female staff seemed uninterested in assisting us, while male guests nearby received noticeably better attention. It felt like unless you’re a man or clearly spending money, you might be ignored. After waiting too long without service at the table and the bar, I finally spoke up. A server not assigned to us helped, and offered to get a manager, but no one came. Tardes Caleñas has great potential thanks to its food and atmosphere, but the service needs serious improvement. I hope they address these issues because it could be a much better experience.

Llevo varios meses almorzado o cenado en este lugar. Siempre había tenido una buena experiencia. Hasta el día de hoy . Se que los errores pueden ocurrir. Pero lo que ocurrió hoy es falta de profesionalismo y ethica de la manager. Siempre pido lo mismo , dos churrascos asados , uno para mi y otro para un joven autista al cual le provee servicios terapéuticos. Siempre pido el mismo termino para la carne, bn asada pero no quemada . Sin embargo hoy una de las carnes estaba quedada por encima. Y le pedí q si la podían cambiar. La manager dijo q si , pues me ha visto varias veces comer en tardes caleñas y nunca había reclamado algo. La mesera me confirma q ya me están poniendo otra hacer. Cuando mesera traen el plato veo q la carne es exactamente el mismo tamaño q la anterior pero un poco más jugosa . Al probar la carne me doy cuenta es la misma carne , lo único q le hicieron fue rasparla y écharle agua , mantequilla y un poco más de sazón en polvo . Para este punto el joven autista ya había terminó de comer y a mí no me quedaba mucho tiempo para almorzar . Me comí la carne porque tenía mucha hambre. Le digo a la mesera que me llame la manager y le digo lo siguiente estoy casi seguro q la carne q me trajeron fue la misma , le echaron agua y mantequilla y pensaron ese no se da cuenta . Me la comí porque tenía mucha hambre pero que uds hicieron no es correcto. La manager me confirmó “claro fue la misma carne , la limpiamos y le echamos aceite . Antes de hablar con la manager pagué por las dos carnes como si nada hubiera pasado . Luego le pregunté a la manager te gustaría q tu salgas a almorzar y te pase esto . Se quedó callada y me dijo si quieres te puedo hacer otra. Mi respuesta : eso era lo que estabas supuesta hacer desde el principio, ya no tengo tiempo para esperar más . La manejar me dice , no la tiene que pagar . Mi respuesta : ya la pagué , eso es lo correcto. Ella no supo que decir. Yo le sugerí que me diera un crédito para regresar a comer después y así fue . Este post lo publiqué en si recomiendo porque mi intención es no crear una mala reputación si no , una mejor conciencia para la manager de este lugar. Lo que hizo es inaceptable. Hay muchos cursos q se pueden tomar para mejor las abilidad de servicio al cliente y como maneger debes incrementar tu conocimiento en esta área. Una vez más , se que lo errores ocurren pero hay errores que pasen por que si y otros siendo conociste de ellos y a cada quien aprende de sus errores. Llevo varios meses viviendo a este lugar y la comida si es muy rica. Espero poder volver a este lugar y disfrutar de sus bueno platos.

Solia hacer pedidos online y luego pasar a recogerlo por el restaurant, pero hoy el trato fue horrible, hice mi pedido online, luego de 20 minutos de ordenar, le hago seguimiento para ver si ya estaba listo, al no ver ningun movimiento, llamo al restaurant para ver que estaba pasando, me informan que el pedido no lo habian recibido, les digo que como es posible, si ya me lo debitaron de mi cuenta bancaria, pido hablar con la manager y me dicen que no era posible que no estaba, voy al restaurant, viene la manager y le muestro el pedido y el cobro del mismo, me dice que ellos no tienen servicio online, le digo que yo soy cliente y ya habia ordenado en otras ocaciones usando ese servicio, de muy mala forma, me dice que cancele el pedido, le digo que para cancelar, primero el restaurant debe aceptar el pedido, se da vuelta y se va sin explicacion alguna, la empiezo a llamar y ni vuelta se da, esta manager necesita hacer un curso de management urgente, hoy perdieron un cliente, aun estoy esperando el rembolso.

This is probably the most rude service in Hollywood. I used to come here a lot but the servers and bartenders are more worried about gossip and talking on the phone than serving. I waited 20 minutes at the bar while there were not many customers at all to have my order taken. The girl said she would help me and had me wait 20 minutes while she took a personal call behind the bar. We will no longer come back. It just keeps getting worse. If they hire new competent staff, I will consider coming back. Bartenders now seem more interested in their side hustle. And it doesn’t look like a legal one.
