New England style clam shack hidden away in Homosassa ... seafood platter was pretty good lots of french fries only a few clams

The people are nice& food so good the clams the gator the crab it's all good oh especially the hush puppies you got to have

My wife and I stopped here for a quick lunch. I generally get the fresh clams which are by far the best clams in the Homosassa area, but today I felt a little adventurous, so I had the Captain's Platter. The Captain's Platter is one of the more serious unhealthy foods on their menu. The shrimp, Bay scallops, and clams are all fried (not healthy), but oh! they all were so good. The food came in a generous serving, large enough that I was not sure I could finish it, so home some of the clams went. :-) For sides, I had their coleslaw and corn on the cob. I will skip the corn next time, but the rest of the meal was outstanding.

Delicious fried shrimp and hush puppies. Just my kind of place and the name does say it all. Small interior seating space.

Drove up from Spring Hill. Well worth the trip. I had the fried clam strips and found they use fresh clams. Some of the best I have since leaving New England.

We ordered inside then ate outside at one of their tables. I ordered Bay scallops hush puppies and corn on cob. Spouse had clam strips french fries and hush puppies. Food was hot, tasted good ( except corn, dont get that) and service was excellent and attentive. She even asked is if we wanted ice water or needed anything twice. Will go back again when we are back in the area.

Hear me out....... GREENBEANS! Ordered with my basket so I didn't eat too much fried bread and omgolly were those greenbeans delicious. We got clams, shrimp, oyster and scallop. All amazing

We had a school tournament and was looking for a place to eat. Found this place on the map. It was such a great find. Fish, soup, & sandwiches were all really good. The hush puppies were the star of the show for us. The fish was not overly breaded and the blacked white fish was perfectly seasoned. Prices & fantastic service were the nice topping on the cake. We have added this as a favorite to stop back in, when back in town.

I absolutely love Dan's clam stand. Moderately priced but definitely delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried clams and alligator bites.

The food and the service was top notch. We were a party of 9, 5 of which were children. Would 100 % recommend.

First of all, this is not a stand. There is a small indoor dining area, bar and outdoor dining area Not fancy but very clean. Servers are nice and we love the food. We have been twice for lunch and love their 8.95 lunch baskets. Not a heavy meal but deliciously cooked seafood choices. We have tried the shrimp, clams and scallops. Our favorite is the clams, lightly breaded and not overcooked. The hushpuppies are yummy too. They also have a large variety of plates and seafood platters all at reasonable prices. Hidden gem!

Great little hometown eatery. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Lots of food so go hungry. We had a verity of items and all were very good.
