Fat Daddy's is our favorite place to go but it saddens me to say they will be closing ? they have excellent food and great service. If you have not had the pleasure of going there you have till the 28th of August before they close the doors for the last time

New to area and so we stopped here.I'm not a barbeque fan but my husband and son both enjoy the ribs, I had turkey.Food was cooked correctly and served within a reasonable amount of time. You are seated a little closer to other tables than we prefer but this establishment I would recommend.

The food was great but place is had so many flies. There sirloin was $28.00 way over priced for the environment. The prices wouldn't even bothee me if the restaurant was clean. It could be a really cute place, but after dealing with the flies it turned my stomach and I couldn't finish my meal. The waitress said it's been like this for over a week now.

Fat Daddy's Roadhouse is located on the main road US Hwy 19 in Homosassa. Outside it looks like the BBQ joint that it is. A wooden fence looking like an old fashioned corral is right up front with a sidewalk leading up to the double doored entrance of the restaurant. Inside is a big front room with booths on the sides and tables in the center. To one side is a porch with outdoor seating and beyond the large dining room is the bar area and more seating for eating and drinking. Friendly staff to serve you your meals and drinks. We've always had consistently friendly service when we go. Our first time in the restaurant we decided on their Wednesday special of AUCE chicken wings. Unfortunately that special is no longer available which is a bummer since my husband and I enjoyed their wings more than their BBQ! Their wings were a nice size and cooked well. Fat Daddy's offers 19 wet sauces for your wings and 6 dry seasonings to choose from. Great thing was you could mix up the flavors which each order of wings. We felt the Kickin Bourbon sauce was way too sweet for our taste. The Thai Chili was a little less sweet but our absolute favorite was their Butter Garlic Parmesan sauce. Really delicious with nice amount of butter and parmesan a hint of garlic - not overpowering at all. No sides come with the chicken wings so we decided to order two appetizers. Breaded mushrooms and fried pickles were our choice. Fat Daddy's offers half portions of two different appetizers to equal one serving so that's what we did! Both were delicious, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside plus piping hot - so be careful with your first bite! Served with Ranch dip and a Creamy Horseradish dip they were equally tasty. They round out our meal well! Now to their BBQ. Since it's what they're know for so you would think it would be absolutely stellar but sad to say our experience wasn't up to our standards of what we call good BBQ. We both ordered the half BBQ chicken with slaw, my other side was fried okra but my husband choose collard greens. Garlic bread rounded out the meal. We also ordered their fried mushrooms again since we were well pleased with our last order and decided on trying the onion rings. Good size and yummy to boot! Our plates came out and looked great but the chicken had a very distinctive flavor of lighter fluid. My husband's chicken had a very strong flavor to it. My was much milder and edible. Definitely not the best BBQ food we've had and a major disappointment. My husband had to call over our waiter and explained about the taste. They gave him another chicken half which was better but still had a hint of that lighter fluid flavor. Our waiter did acknowledge they do indeed start their BBQ smokers with lighter fluid, so who ever cooked that day did not let the lighter fluid burn off enough before putting meats on the smoker! Because of this experience and because they stopped the Wednesday AUCE chicken wings we haven't been back again. Maybe when they get back on their feet from the pandemic we will try again.

We went on an off hour while the restaurant was pretty sleepy, but still we took our seats and the waitress helped us right away. The food was amazing and came out of the kitchen really fast. The deep fried pickle chips were thin, crispy and probably some of the best I've ever had. Bbq wasn't anything fancy, which is a good thing, just simple and done right, letting the smoke play the forefront flavor. Both the pulled pork and ribs were amazing, fall-off-the-bone good. We picked this place at random looking for something to eat after visiting the Homosassa Springs State Park, and we definitely picked a winner!

By far the best place I've ever eaten at. The food looked like it belonged in a commercial and tasted like it too. Excellent service and a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

I looked up ratings on Tripadvisor for restaurants in Homossasa. This place was in the top 10. They raved about their Brisket. I am no expert on brisket but I have had much better. I ordered 2 of the Mc-Dady sandwiches for my wife and I. Composed of brisket, sweet fried onions and mac and cheese. I knew I was in trouble when I had a hard time cutting the brisket. It was sliced too thick and over cooked. It was supposed to be smoked but there was no smoked flavor a all. The sweet onions were very good and the mac and cheese was just ok. $14 for the sandwich which I thought was a little high. Domestic draft beers were $3.25 each. We won't go back.

First visit service was great. BBQ pork was nicely wood cooked, however a sauce was added. Pulled pork sauce should always be on the side. They had optional side sauces. I'll go again to gain more taste knowledge and upgrade to 5 Stars.

A quick lunch stop turned into a wonderful meal. I had the best rueben sandwich ever. My husband had a burger and said it was delicious. Am anticipating another visit soon. Still thinking about that rueben! Service was quick and pleasant. Beer really cold.
