We tried with some friends during Magical Dining. I understand it a reduced menu for a lower price but no sides at all with your entree, and to substitute a gluten free option of sorbet instead of the three options is a charge. The appetizers were good and our entrees were good. Our server, Jasmyn was excellent.
I wanted to love this experience. The Mission Inn is historical and beautiful. We attended Magical Dining event. The promoted price was $40 per plate, but everything was a la carte, so our dinner for 4, advertised at $120, quickly ballooned to $265. Ok, it's expensive. But here is where a fine dining experience goes south. First, 6 ounces of average wine should not cost $20. The wine glasses are huge and require two hands to drink. From entry to exit, the customer service was amazing. Dylan was our server and gave us so many helpful tips for choosing items that were most popular at the restaurant. He checked on us and other tables to make sure all was well.
