Outdated. Went for English tea with four friends . What a farce . Tea bags and hot water not a true tea service . Hard scones . Cool whip instead of clotted cream . A total waste of money and time . The person organizing this needs to learn how to present a true English tea. Sad

We made a reservation for a small group (5) of women. When making the reservation and again when we arrived at resort and called for directions, at no time were we told that the restaurant was previously known as Nickers and no new signage for the Grove House was present.
After finding the restaurant adjacent to the golf shop, we were greeted with a musty smell. The hostess took a few moments to confirm our table (with only one group seated in the restaurant).
The wine list was underwhelming -- no winery listed and the waitress had little info except the winery name. The service was average. One party member had to leave the table to take her empty diet coke glass to the bar for a refill, as the waitress did not check back.
The food again was average and we would have been better off spending the money at one of the Villages many golf course restaurants. No need to return.

We wanted to love this place, but it looks like they’ve not updated anything since the 70s. The restaurant is very drab and dated.
We went for the Saturday night Prime Rib and Seafood buffet. Although their website says you need to purchase a voucher to be mailed to you, to attend for $90 that is not the case. You can walk in or call and make a reservation and the cost is $70 per person.
The service was amazing. Our server was awesome, I wanted to take her with me out of that place! She deserves better!!
Now to the food…such a disappointment. The only thing (I tried everything) that was good was the Prime Rib but it wasn’t hot, it was a little less than room temperature. In fact, none of the food was hot. Some things were lukewarm at best. I expected this place to serve quality food items and it was very clear that they’ve cut back on food cost. Also, don’t expect sushi like the pictures on their website show for the buffet. There was none and I over heard an employee saying they aren’t serving it anymore.
Mission Inn should really consider investing in this restaurant if they want to keep it alive. It’s clear they’ve not given that any thought in a very long time.
We wanted to love this place, but there are just too many things. We definitely could have spent our $150+ somewhere else and received quality food.

Took my Mom to a ladies luncheon at Nicker’s. Understand this was a cold, windy, wet day. The setting is beautiful with tall windows to watch the golfers (who were staying in to keep warm). The group was served quickly. The Mahi sandwich looked delicious. Mom had the quesadilla and was quite happy. I had more plans later, so got just the chicken tenders. We heard the Bang Bang Shrimp was enough for lunch and looked yummy.
The atmosphere would be more pleasant on a beautiful day, but was well worth it on a dreary Florida day.
I recommend putting the location in maps. My Mom tried to take me in lots of directions after the gates.😂

Nice views. Food is unremarkable. Service was good. It was expensive for food quality. You are paying for proximity.

Nicker's is a slam dunk quick getaway for us since we live so close by. We stopped in on a Thursday about 1 and were immediately seated by a window. Nicker's has a gorgeous view overlooking the Mission Resort's golf course and lake.
My wife ordered the Swiss burger with sweet potato fries (no upcharge!), and I had the Cuban sandwich with regular fries. Everything came out in a reasonable time. My wife really enjoyed her burger and fries. I thought my Cuban would have benefited from less ham and more carnitas, but it was still delicious.
Our server, Lydia, was friendly and attentive, and everything met our expectations. Considering that Nicker's is part of the Mission Resort, the prices are decent. Enjoy!

Stopped in for a lunch on my birthday. Disappointed ……The Blackened Mahi sandwich was greasy. The grouper sandwich was ok, but messy. I certainly have had better, though the sweet potatoe fries were tasty. We were the only table there. Geez, didn’t even get offered a dessert for my birthday. Place is in dire needs of the updating that is planned. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Very nice view out of the course. A good place for lunch if you are out on the course. They were a bit overwhelmed by our large group, but that is not the servers' fault.
