“Piping hot always fresh Phô served with a smile. They keep the tables clean. We love and swear by Phô Viet. I had their Beef Stew for a change and it is superior in all respects and the beef and vegetables were soft telling me that it was cooked with care. We all love Phô Viet with a manager always present. What a great place to eat Vietnamese food. If I had one wish I'd hire a Bus Boy to clear the tables of the dishes so that our server's hands don't have the prior customer's germs on their hands.“

She obviously did not have to do any of that and I am so grateful she did because the line was long and it allowed me to wait in line without a screaming baby. Every time I’ve gone to the Wichita Falls location I’ve always had above and beyond customer service.“

“I got to the one in Hammock Landing in Palm Bay, Fl. . I wish I knew her name but there is a younger girl that is has always working when I go in (except once) and she is always very friendly and makes the best acai and dragonfruit bowls! The boys are pricey but they are everywhere and Planet Smoothie serves up the biggest and best I've found. My personal favorite is the PB and the Bee acai and dragonfruit bowl.“

“I frequent this location & the service is always top tier. Earlier today specifically though my barista was Taylor. She made me a vanilla iced latte with almond milk. I got my drink quick as always & I turned & sat at the red light. All I see is Taylor booking it to my car from behind me! I roll my window down & she says she didn’t make it with almond milk she apologized (out of breath) & said she needs to fix it. She immediately fixed it & again, apologized. This girl needs a raise because she could’ve just let it pass as an accident. My sensitive stomach owes her for life!! lol. Thank you Taylor for going above & beyond & being so kind. “Carmen's Restaurant and Catering 2280 Harris Ave NE Palm Bay, FL 32905 4 Stars After what appeared to be a mistake in my last Jamaican joint review (whoa, that has a few connotations), I thought I was being punished by immediately being sent to another one by my random name generator. After smacking it on the side a few times and shaking it, I found it to be working correctly, so I proceeded to Carmen's Restaurant and Catering in Palm Bay, FL. What a world of difference! Carmen is the proprietor and a one-woman show and boyo, let me tell ya, she sure shines. I found Carmen's menu to be a joy to behold, as eclectic as my vinyl collection. As such, I decided to go in a different direction today and steered away from the traditional Jamaican fare such as Jerk Chicken and Curried Goat and went with an order of Carmen's Fried Chicken with sides of rice, beans and potato salad along with an order of her Bang Bang Fried Shrimp Tacos (the same name as the drek at the horrid Bonefish Grill) with fries. As Carmen got to work on my eats, I took in the interior. I found it to be open, welcoming, bright, and cheery, not unlike the owner! Carmen was out in no time with my foodstuffs. Taking a few before pictures, I got to work. I turned my attention and palate to the Fried Chicken. The first thing I noticed was the crunch of the coating. If you look at the picture I've attached, you can see what I mean. That coating was slathered on without care for conservation. It wasn't too much, it was just enough. The chicken, blanketed in a tender, juicy, succulent coating, tasted superb. The rice and beans were well-cooked and seasoned with love. The potato salad, like everything else, I assume was made by Carmen and if your Grandmother makes a better potato salad, I will eat these words! I can't speak for you, but when I hear or read the words, Bang Bang, I immediately think of three things. First, playing cops and robbers as a child and “shooting” the bad guy with my finger gun while shouting, “Bang! Bang!” The second is the Bollywood bad remake of a worse film, “Bang Bang!” The third thing I think of is Chinese Street Chicken. None of this has anything to do with Carmen's Bang Bang Fried Shrimp Tacos, other than the Bang Bang sauce is loosely based on the Chinese Street Chicken tossing sauce. Carmen's Bang Bang sauce was a mixture of mayo, spicy stuff and it was mahvalous, dahling! The shrimp were coated with the same love and care as the chicken and were just as tender and juicy. Got Dayum! Carmen knows her way around a kitchen. I can only assume these are her recipes as well. She should open a restaurant and share this with...oh, wait. Never mind. With this meal and the success of the Fried Chicken at Cajun Soul, my hopes have been raised considerably. The Big Boy says, “If you want good eats served with love and a friendly smile, visit Carmen. Tell her the Big Boy sent ya (it's safe this time)!”“

“Planet Grilled Cheese, Melbourne Square Mall, 1700 West New Haven Avenue, Suite 385, Melbourne, FL- 3-Stars The first time I ever encountered a restaurant dedicated solely to grilled cheese sandwiches I was in Providence, Rhode Island and was totally blown away. So, imagine my excitement when I saw that Planet Grilled Cheese replaced Subway in the food court at Melbourne Square. This franchised gem is not going to win any culinary awards, but they do quickly and competently prepare a grilled cheese. These slightly above average sandwiches might have curbed my enthusiasm, but as classic comfort food goes, these handhelds still comforted. I should point out that the cashier thought I was secretly recording her. I ask you, is there anything quite as refreshing as encountering schizophrenia in a company representative? I’m not sure what I did to make her so cagey. I tried coaxing a smile from her with no luck. But getting back to the food. I ordered the Four Cheese Melt, described as having “All-Natural Cheddar, Mozzarella, Provolone and American.” Next came the Chicken Bacon Ranch, billed as containing “American, All-Natural Cheddar & Mozzarella, Antibiotics-and-Hormones-Free Grilled Chicken, Smoked Bacon, and Creamy Ranch.” Last was the Ultimate Club, indicated to be comprised of “American, All-Natural Cheddar, Antibiotics-and-Hormones-Free Grilled Chicken, Smoked Bacon, Fresh Lettuce, Vine Ripe Tomatoes and Mayo. This might be just your simple, basic, frozen reheat chicken and bacon, but for fast food, this place is a notch above your run-of-the-mill burger joint. Nothing great, nothing bad. All sandwiches on the menu (like those made at this spot by Subway before Planet Grilled) are touted as being served on locally baked bread. The Big Boy says, “If you are hankering for a grilled cheese sammie, Planet Grilled Cheese is a solid choice. No harm, no foul. Just don’t make eye contact with Ally.”“

“The owner is such a nice guy, very inviting and hospitable. He has a great selection of food and drinks. We enjoyed our lattes. The atmosphere is eclectic, comfortable, and clean. The shop is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays so drop in when you can.“
