we ordered the fried calamari--way overcooked, tried again....way overcooked. Told it was the last of the calamari...sorry...only 1 person cooking. canceled the rest of the food order. Had the mussels, could only eat a few as most had broken shells. Unacceptable to be served what was likely dead ones.Definite health hazard.Took way to long to deliver what was ordered. Sorry, we won't be back.

The waitress was charming, efficient & helpful. We got a platter to share. The good stuff, the fried fish & shrimp were delicious. The baked potato & French fries were undercooked. Not good. The fried calamari was terrible! Most of the batter had fallen off or else wasn't there to begin with. The rings looked like squishy white rubber bands. To be honest the only reason we went there was because my MIL likes it.

Sorry to have to leave this review, waitress was nice but food took a long time and was cool upon arriving.i am a long time repeat customer and truly disappointed , portion size of flounder looked like child’s portion , a different waitress did bring more potato’s cool just a bad experience

I was pretty satisfied overall by my first visit here. I had an incredible server named Candy who really helped bring up the atmosphere and her recommendations to me I quite enjoyed. I had the special that came with the flounder, hush puppies, and sides. The flounder was very delicious, it's nice and light and well seasoned, and I enjoyed it with both sauces provided. I also ordered a cup of Clam Chowder original but it was a bit heavy handed on the salt for my preference but still pretty good honestly outside of several bites that were too much so I had about half maybe less but I think for others who like a lot of salt it's good :) I took a couple stars for the atmosphere as there's flickering lights and bulbs that have gone out and I think it could use a refresh as it's a very nice location and nice restaurant and the prices are great. I still give it a high rating though and I am very happy with my food 😊 They also take care of Veterans to give them a discount and it always helps. I always give it back to the servers so please tip if you can afford to as the staff were very friendly and helped a new restaurant visitor find something on the menu even with many of the options I wanted not being available I still had a great lunch and I hope others give it a chance. I loved the shrimp! It was perfectly breaded and tasted great! Highly recommend :D I wish I ordered a larger basket 😂
Very good. Not greasy. We ordered seafood platter for two and had plenty to take home. Next time we’ll order the senior seafood platter for two. Server very very nice and accommodating. But hostess seamed overwhelmed and there were only two couples waiting in line with plenty of open tables. This is just an olde timey place, but fun.
Love cedar river in crystal river but we were going to the movies in Inverness so we thought we’d go here for lunch before. Service and food were great BUT they were short staffed.. didn’t have someone to bus the tables so the hostess was doing both.. she must’ve been new bc she was very very slow.. took forever to get seated.. forever to take our order and forever to get served.. we almost missed our movie… we were there almost 2 1/2 hours… which was absurd.. we will never go to that location again… there was no manager in site to help out or manage..,several people waiting to be seated while there were a lot of tables needed to be cleaned off..our first experience was terrible at this location and many people were disappointed

This place has become my favorite little seafood place. Food was tasty, server very friendly and attentive. My neighbor, who has a walker was very well taken care of. The atmosphere and bathrooms are clean. Prices are very reasonable.
