Great spot conveniently off the main Hwy, and they did a great job with the renovations. Service didn’t seem in a hurry but we switched to the bar and our bartender was great.
Hemingway cocktail was the best. Coconut Pineapple Margarita was a closed second.
We tried two appetizers and they were tasty, but a couple points off. • Guacamole was just mashed avocado and grape tomatoes…for me, guac needs onion, jalapeño, garlic… • Rock Shrimp Tempura was super light and crispy on the outside but the batter wasn’t cooked all the way through so it was mushy past the outside crust.

Marker 88 is an absolute gem in Islamorada! The atmosphere is relaxed and beautiful, with unbeatable waterfront views, but the highlight of my visit was the blackened hogfish with Tabasco butter sauce. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and the sauce was incredible — rich, flavorful, and with just the right amount of kick. It’s one of those dishes you’ll be thinking about long after the meal.
The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in the Keys, Marker 88 is a must-visit for both the food and the setting. Highly recommend!

Came in on a Monday afternoon, it wasn’t too busy. we ordered the coconut shrimp, shrimp fajitas, pasta forentine and grouper piccata. Coconut shrimp was great. Shrimp fajitas was a very small portion. Pasta florentina was like Alfredo with some veggies and was ok. The grouper was well done but the side of veggies was nearly all onion and wasn’t a good blend. The beer selection was good and draft was nice and cold. Probably won’t be returning only because the quality and value varied so much based on what you ordered and the flies were everywhere and it was so off putting.

Summary: We really enjoyed this bar & restaurant. Deffinitely recommend. Toilets were clean and nicely done up. Food was fantastic, absolutely amazing. Drinks were good too. Setting was amazing.
Detail: We were on our way down the keys and decided to stop. We booked for 11.15am but arrived at 11am. They took us in fine and it was relatively quiet.
The car park is gravely and shaded.
The actual setting and the decor is a 10/10 everything looked great.
The food was pretty much outstanding. It was fantastic actually. We all really enjoyed it. The steak sandwich was amazing. Served in about 20/30 mins.
Drinks were pricey I believe and the mai tai wasn't to my liking but its maybe personal preference.
If I was to recommend anything to the restaurant is to convert it to a beach club where you allow sunbathing. If you did this, and ran the restaurant alongside as it is now. We would have stayed literally all day and probably spent quadruple what we did. Its a lovely beach and I wish it was a beach club like location. Would have made it fantastic.
The only complaint I had for our visit was that the table was sat directly under a shedding tree and there was a lit of plants on the table. Some people would have really found this off putting but they moved us no problem.
Overall recommend. Go.

Very impressed!!! The whole vibe was very cool. Very Keys...bright, airy and tropical. Friendly welcome from the girl up front and decided to eat at the bar. Great experience with Francois an extremely attentive and friendly bartender. He recommended the crab cakes and they were delicious. Only downside was the wife's wine turned out to be $19 a glass. Guess we missed the fine print. We'll be back!!
