Only had my military ID with me - bartender said the US Navy doesn't count as a real military branch so he wouldn't accept it. Tried to explain how insulting that was to all the men and women that died for our country. He said he didn't care then called me basically every slur he could think of.

Cool place to stop. Large bar and some tables to sit at. There are pool tables and also a liquor store to purchase bottles of beer and alcohol. We had the pizza and it was amazing

Great pub in Islamorada.
They’ve got 3 pool tables which were in pretty good shape. We didn’t eat there but we saw others getting food and all looked quite yummy.
Great selection of drinks and even have a juke box which was a nice addition.
Bartenders are friendly and helpful.
Many tvs to watch the news or sport channels.

The Whistle Stop in Islamorada is an absolute gem! A true hole-in-the-wall bar with unbeatable vibes and some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, crispy, flavorful, and unforgettable. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is laid-back, and it feels like a local secret you’re lucky to find. Perfect stop in the Keys, can’t wait to come back for more!
