Cuban sandwich and arroz imperial. Two excellent dishes. Everything was very flavorful and the red and green sauces were tasty! Will come again.

The rating is truly 3.5 at this point; I need to go again to make sure though. I was highly disappointed in the turkey pesto sandwich. It was sweet, which I wasn’t expecting. I also had the guava cake, which was just ok. The true star was the chicken empanada!! I will definitely go back for that, but it’ll have to be to the one in St. Augustine. Hopefully, it won’t disappoint. I also felt like it was expensive. I’ve had cheaper meals with way more food at sit-down restaurants.

Went here for lunch with my girlfriend and we were stargazed on how reciprocal this Cuban food relates to what we had in Miami. The servers are all friendly and operated on such a fast pace. I recommend the steak sandwich and Tostones! The decor and murals on the wall make a great ambience. The location off Baymeadows is just as great! I stop there for coffee/lunch during the day. Best Cuban food in Jax!

Unfortunately my pictures lacked this time- will add more next time. Went on a Friday night for take out- pretty empty with only one table inside. Welcomed immediately and staff were able to make some good recommendations. Smaller inside, but ample table room and also outside seating is offered. Sandwiches average $13, but are large- sharing size. Cuban- Pretty good, nice amount of protein. Pan con bistec- steak, good flavor. While I wish there was a little more of the sauce, I really enjoyed and it was a great recommendation. 904- Turkey, bacon, subbed out the Swiss cheese. Wanted a basic option for the kids but they wound up also trying and liking the other options too. Empanadas we tried the pork and beef- both great. All of this fed two adults and three kids (11-14), with an empanada and a half and a half sandwich still left. Offer breakfast and coffee items- will be back to try.

The food was very flavorful and was hard to put down. The beef empanada was jam packed with flavor from the outside shell to the inside filling. My sister in law is Argentine and it is hard to find a good empanada. I will be back for theirs! I had the Elena Ruth sandwich which was also very good but could've used a sauce on the side. Just felt like it was missing something to me but was pretty good. I also ordered the 1928 empanada, the chicken croquette, and the colada coffee. The coffee was a little sweet for my taste, I usually like a regular double espresso with no added sugar, I misunderstood what I was ordering, I think. The chicken croquette is very good but definitely needs the sauce (too dry otherwise) The 1928 was fire, well worth the namesake! Giving 4 stars because the packaging was all styrofoam and would prefer a more sustainable option.

This is the second time I have visited this particular location and have been very disappointed both times. After the first visit , I gave them a second try but at their st Augustine location, and I was WOWED! I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was AMAZING. So being as we live near the Jax beach location, we went there to get the Cuban bc the one in st Augustine was so delicious. It tasted NOTHING near to what the one I had in st Augustine. Sad
