This place is great, went to eat for breakfast, don't remember the elderly woman's name but she was fantastic, food was great. Of course we had to wait a while to get service as the place was jam packed with people , and the food took a whole to get to our table but the place is great, I recommend if you are looking for a good breakfast spot

You gotta love a good diner! Especially with no wait. Breakfast was good without today's portion shrinkage. My waitress was attentive and made sure everything was just the way I ordered it.
On a whim, I decided to take my mother to Beach Hut Cafe for a late breakfast/ early lunch. It was a weekday so I thought that it would not be too busy. I was completely wrong. The restaurant was practically at seating capacity with only a handful of tables left available. We found a table, barely big enough for four people, crammed in the front window. It was enough for her and I, however, we had my infant granddaughter with us also, in a stroller.
I asked for a highchair which they did bring us, but the highchair was not quite tall enough for my granddaughter. She would’ve been at perfect height to gum the side of the table so I left her in her stroller which made for very cramped seating arrangements in the corner… but we did what we had to do.
The menu was quite extensive, but no children’s menu so that made it quite challenging to find something for my granddaughter to eat. Thank God she likes mashed potatoes! Because the restaurant was busy, it did take some time for the food to be delivered to the table. Our waitress was the sweetest 50+ year-old lady that I think I have ever met. Each time she came to the table she had a smile on her face and addressed each one of us ,including the baby. She also made numerous suggestions while I was trying to determine what the baby could eat from the menu.
The day that we chose to eat at beach hut, it seemed as though their air conditioner may have been broken. It was uncomfortably warm, but like I said, the restaurant seemed to be close to capacity, as well as the temperature being near 95° outside that day. I did notice several portable fans stationed around the restaurant, which makes me think that the air conditioner wasn’t working.
Regardless of the uncomfortable temperature/ possible AC issue and the lack of a children’s menu, I would still highly recommend the beach hut Café. It has long been a beaches favorite for breakfast even though this was my first visit! I’m glad we gave it a chance!

We stopped in while for breakfast while visiting my grandfather in Jacksonville beach. Food was delicious, came out quick and I LOVE when restaurants will let you get lunch food at breakfast!
