I must say i have been to this location on south 3rd many times in the past meaning 1 1/2 years ago and the quality was below average, my colleague and i went here for lunch 3 weeks ago and the Quality was bar none , i knew it was under new ownership just by the perfection of the pulled pork which has to be one of the hardest meats to smoke to perfection and i even asked is this under new ownership and the answer was simple it was . This is my favorite Bono's location in Jacksonville. It's small but the food is always good. It is the only Bono's that I will order a burger from since they seem to be the only location that knows how to cook a burger without turning it into a hockey puck. Everything is clean, and the staff is always friendly.

My wife and I ate here to try a new BBQ place - we will be back! The service was outstanding, and the food was also really good. We had a variety of different kinds of meats and sides, and the ones that stood out to me where the pulled pork as well as the baked beans. But loved being able to get into a small place with great table service, which is a positive experience versus another local BBQ place we go to also.
