Order take out from this location and the pulled pork sandwich was not toasted, meat was dry, no flavor, the slaw was disgusting and the when I called to complain the woman who answered the phone talked over me. Then the manager asked if I could call back in a hour. Terrible service and the food was the same. Never again. Reporting to corporate ?☹️

New owner is hitting it out of the park! I've been eating at bonos since 1975 and this was the best pork I've had. Our server Kim was absolutely fabulous!!
My wife and I ate here to try a new BBQ place - we will be back! The service was outstanding, and the food was also really good. We had a variety of different kinds of meats and sides, and the ones that stood out to me where the pulled pork as well as the baked beans. But loved being able to get into a small place with great table service, which is a positive experience versus another local BBQ place we go to also.

I must say i have been to this location on south 3rd many times in the past meaning 1 1/2 years ago and the quality was below average, my colleague and i went here for lunch 3 weeks ago and the Quality was bar none , i knew it was under new ownership just by the perfection of the pulled pork which has to be one of the hardest meats to smoke to perfection and i even asked is this under new ownership and the answer was simple it was . Nice job because you guys and gals care thank you
This is my favorite Bono's location in Jacksonville. It's small but the food is always good. It is the only Bono's that I will order a burger from since they seem to be the only location that knows how to cook a burger without turning it into a hockey puck. Everything is clean, and the staff is always friendly.

As always good food. However, we couldn't enjoy our meal as we kept hearing the owner rant and rave about personal issues and so the atmosphere was not enjoyable at all. We traveled from Orange Park to go here and most likely won't ever be back.
