Let us be clear: refusing service to someone because of the color of their skin is not only morally unacceptable, it is a serious violation...read full review
Love this place. There are gluten friendly options which is nice including an alternative to the soy sauce. Atmosphere is nice. Service has always been good.

O-Ku offers excellent service and a great atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to celebrate special occasions. The food, including nigiri and sashimi, is good with high-quality fish. The Sake Sorbet is a standout dish with impressive flavor. The ambiance is delightful, although the noise level can be quite high, which makes it challenging to engage in conversation. O-Ku features two floors and a rooftop area that offers a nice view, especially if seated by the large windows. While the restaurant can get crowded, it still provides a comfortable experience without feeling too packed. The staff is attentive and helpful, with outstanding wait staff and talented bartenders, like Hanna, who crafts the perfect Paper Plant cocktail. The food is wonderful, creative, and delicious, with favorites like Sake Dreams, Yellow Carpaccio, Blue Crab Temaki, U suzukuri, A5 Japanese Wagyu Beef, and the famous Fuego and Oceanside sushi rolls. O-Ku is definitely worth the hype, especially for those who love sushi, as it takes Jacksonville's sushi culture to another level.
