Great fresh catch. First time back in over a year and the portions are definitely smaller(fresh mahi blackened) and was a little dry this time. They are a staple in the neighborhood and always busy

First trip to Jax and we wanted seafood, found this place doing a search and decided to try it. It DID NOT disappoint!!! Seafood was so fresh. 👍

Great disappointment. The food was bland and the portions were skimpy. Ordered grouper , (fresh catch of the day )and asked if we could add it as a combo item to a basket. Was charged $45 for one 7 oz piece of grouper, a few pieces of scallops and oysters. The receipt showed a charge of $28 for the 7 oz piece of grouper. The basket was overloaded with fries which seemed to camouflage the skimpy portions of seafood.
Had to search for the oysters and scallops because they were so small and so few.Evidently the manager overheard us talking to the waitress and came over to the table to ask if we had questions . My husband expressed his concern about the small portion of food . She advised us that we could order additional food if we felt that we needed more……. And the restroom was stinky. I’ve seen cleaner at gas stations

The food here is great. Ate it two nights in a row during our last trip down. The lines are long, but it is worth it. Portions are very generous. Our six year old LOVED the alligator. To be honest, we found that if you order it to go, you are in and out long before people waiting to sit are even served.

The chef prepares lots of quality, fresh seafood basket from Mayport, Florida. The experience is very pleasant midday on high seating with cool breeze. The staff innovate the restaurant.

They wonderfully show careful preparation of seasoning and cooking. The food has good detail.

Their fried shrimp have great flavor.

I love their gorgeously fried and specialty triggerfish which has a sweet, seasoned flavor. The grey fish shown in the photo is triggerfish. I suggest the combination platter.

Their flavorful hush puppies are really good with really nice outside fry. For slight charge, they include extra sauce. The pink sauce is really nice. If asking politely, they provide empty container for ketchup.

I wish for less grease through different cooking oil and no disposable containers. Also, I wish to see more fish photo as new and unique fish are caught.

I really wish to try their Caesar salad with blackened scallops.

If you are looking for classic seafood, fried and grilled to perfection in Jax Beach…this is the place to go!! The Marina vibe, tops it all off…I would be here everyday if I could. Very popular place but the line moves fast! Go get some😁😋

We ate there twice this week, you order at the counter, get your beverage at the beverage counter and they bring your food to the table when ready. You see them cooking as you stand in line to order. The food was hot and fresh. The views were very relaxing as various vessels came and went.

The fresh fish display is right when you come in. The lines are because of the food. I had grouper and blackened catfish. The other dish is redfish with fries.
