Born and raised Philly, and someone told me that Surfwiches made the best Philly cheesesteak in town. Tried them the other day, and was really disappointed. Meat was dry and flavorless. Absolutely nothing dripped after any bite. Not the steak sandwiches I was raised on. I saw a Reuben on the menu, so I will give them another chance. Great service. Nice guys behind the counter.

Today a review of the Italian sandwich by influencer celsjax popped up on my insta feed and i had to try it. Tell me why I've lived in Jax most my life and I've never been to surfwiches! It was amazing! I had a modified version of the Italian because they were out of capicola, but it was still delicious. Imma be back with the fam for their Cuban and a do over with their classic Italian. By the way, don't roll up here asking for a philly it you want a steak sandwich....
