I used to live three blocks from this glorious place. If you are thinking about going, go. And if you do go, planning another visit will quickly become a priority.

Such a cute little bakery! The food is delicious, my kids love the cookies. I'm partial to the pastries. Carlisle and Simone are absolute delights! 1748 Bakehouse is a must visit if you are in the area.

The pastries here were excellent. A friend brought over chocolate chips cookies, blueberry muffins, and a pumpkin cinnamon cronuts. Yes, everything was very sugary but also very tasty. A great treat.
My favorite bakery in Jacksonville!

I live in the neighborhood and want to love this place soooo badly. The food is amazing but the service is pretty horrible and every time it is 20-30 minutes for a sandwich. The soup rotates so impossible to guarantee a quick lunch.

Bessssst pastries I have ever had. Their bread is so heavenly idk how they get it to taste so good but you must try one of their treats or sourdough bread!
I am usually a dislike-er of sourdough, but my husband got their breakfast sandwich that comes on sourdough bread and I tried a bite… I think I fell in love. Their chocolate croissant and their brie/ blueberry danish were also so mouthwatering and buttery omg. I’m just dreaming about when I come back next!!
(picture of chocolate croissant after we half devoured it because it was too good to stop)

This place was amazing. We went here for the first time to grab breakfast. I was nervous because the line was long but it moved pretty quickly. The breakfast sandwich on sourdough was amazing. We also got one on an English muffin and it was delicious as well. My husband and I both got a peppermint mocha. Mine was hot and his was iced, they were both very yummy. We also ended up getting a few pastries for later which were all amazing as well. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you for the delicious food and good service.

We were so excited to stop for a quick coffee & matcha, and some pastry @ 1748. 55 minutes later we got our drinks. Sadly, the coffee was very watery, and the matcha tasted nothing like matcha. When we asked if they could make it stronger, they told us that that is how they make coffee and will not make it stronger. I very seldom leave bad reviews, giving people the benefit of doubt, but this was a bad experience and has to be mentioned. The pastries were mediocre at best.

Chia pudding was perfect (not too sweet like most places), and lemon poppyseed muffin was delightful. Mocha latte with oatmilk hit the spot.
We’ve been here a few times this year. We usually split a salad and a sandwich. Both are hearty choices and can stand alone as filling and satisfying dishes.
Today was the seasonal salad. Each time the quality of the lettuce, cheese, nuts and other veggies have been 10/10. On top of that the portions of each ingredient and amount of dressing is just right.
The sandwich was the turkey club. I’m not a turkey fan but that’s her choice. And it was good. I don’t want to try anyone else’s turkey sandwich because this is the one. The bread is fresh.
We always get the baked goods. Any choice is a good choice.

Should really have a separate checkout line for to go coffees or tell you how long the wait is gonna be. Would not recommend for a quick to go service if you’re getting a beverage. Got some pastries and ordered two coffees and waited 25 minutes for my drinks.
