“Mesa is, by far, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Jax since moving here 17 years ago. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner, Saji, is there greeting people and having real conversations with them—not just “how’s the food, thanks for coming,” but a real chat that is from her heart. The FOOD, though!!! WOW!! SPECTACULAR! I’ve had lots of Indian food, but nothing like this! Everything was so special and beautifully plated. They take real pride in their cuisine and it shows. I highly recommend the shrimp & grits—the best version of it I’ve ever tasted! Perfectly prepared, gorgeous on the plate, and so incredibly tasty, you’ll want to get an extra order of it to take with you!! And a small, but very important and telling detail: the bathrooms! The cleanest restroom I’ve seen in a long time and SO beautifully decorated. Final extra bonus points for allowing dogs on their patio. My friend and I brought our dogs last night and they were very happy to be with us on the patio. Great ambiance, cozy and comfortable. This is a true gem in Jacksonville and will be a regular spot for us. Thanks, Saji, for your warm welcome and delicious food!!”

“Amazing evening out. Everyone was so friendly as you entered the restaurant. It started with one of the best pomegranate martinis I ever had. Our server Jessica was excellent and all the servers that came to the table paid attention to detail. The most impressive part of the evening was the impeccable style of chef Justin. We had the 6 courses chef’s adventure tasting menu and I cannot say enough about the cuisine. The harmony of flavors and the mastery of technique with the plating presentation was magnificent. The chef came to the table to explain each plate that was presented. He’s very knowledgeable regarding the dishes he prepares and you could see his personality come through in the way the dishes were plated and the flavors that came through with each plate. With the cuisine Justin is preparing this restaurant could be a Michelin star restaurant in notime. By the way I am gluten free so the chef had to make changes to my dishes only. I cannot say enough on how much we enjoyed the entire evening. We will definitely be visiting Matthew’s again.”

The staff at seasons 52 town center Jacksonville Florida was amazing and accepted the situation as if he was there! From the bar tender Michael who served him a drink to the receptionist who Renee who made us fell very welcome and treated our friend with respect and dignity to our waiter Blake who also went the extra mile to make our experience exceptional! “Prospect Five Points, where have you been all my life?! I'm 50, and for the first time ever, a server asked me how I wanted my salmon cooked - rare, medium rare, or medium! Salmon, not a steak! I mean, what sorcery is this?! I've been suffering through dry, overcooked salmon for decades, and then you come along and blow my mind! And let me tell you, that rare salmon was perfection incarnate - juicy, tender, and absolutely divine. But wait, there's more! And don't even get me started on the salad - a symphony of flavors, with arugula dancing in a delightful vinaigrette and pickled onions that defied recognition (in the best way possible). The homemade key lime pie deserves its own novel - the balance of lemon and sugar is pure magic. Not too sweet, not too sour, just... just... _chef's kiss_. I'm struggling to finish this review because I just want to go back and eat everything again. Five stars, ten stars, a million stars - Prospect Five Points, you've ruined me for all other restaurants!”

We were sat at a table, thought everything was fine, but she didn’t want the chairs (hip surgery, legs were hurting) So we asked for a high chair and still no, then a booth and she was finally comfortable! I was so overwhelmed but the young women working were being so sweet and without even a second look they were accommodating. We thought our girl wouldn’t eat, but she asked for bacon and she said it was the best bacon! All of our food was amazing, even though we had to speed eat to get to where we needed to be. I really couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative for how we were treated, I was at my breaking point and ended up leaving with a very happy family. Thank you!”

“I know this isn't a local joint, but it was late and local options were slim at the time. I wanted to send a shout out to Waffle House on Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville for an excellent experience last night. We walked in for a late dinner at 10 minute to 9. They were packed and short staffed. We grabbed the only open table and the shift leader (manager?), who was also cooking, brought our drinks and took our order, advising that it may be a wait. While we were there, 4 staff members that had been called in to help showed up and went right to work. They were a well oiled machine, continually checking on all of the tables, apologizing for the wait, and thanking everyone for their patience. We got our food and left within an hour. If we had gone to the IHOP 2 doors down, we would have still been waiting for our food (even in the best of times.) I know times are tough for the service industry right now, but these ladies and gentlemen handled it with grace and efficiency. I tipped 50% of the bill, and would have done much more if I could have.”

“5 starts just so people can see this.. this is the most disgusting place anyone could work at. General managers like to verbally abuse female staff. The bread is SO unsanitary! They do not wash their hands.. bread falls on the floor and they put it back on the line to be cut and bagged up. I wish the customers knew just how gross this establishment is!”

Today, we discovered Sweet Peaches Coffee on Baymeadows Road near San Jose, and what a find it was! The food and drinks were fantastic, and the laid-back yet cool vibe of the place made it an instant favorite. I enjoyed a delicious mocha chiller, while my husband opted for a generously-sized cup of chocolate milk. For breakfast, I had a flavorful sausage, egg, and cheese English muffin, and my husband’s breakfast burrito looked absolutely amazing—he loved it! The service was outstanding—both the barista and the lady who brought out our food greeted us with warm smiles and a very friendly demeanor. We felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The café wasn’t crowded, the seating was super comfortable, and the atmosphere was perfect for unwinding. We’re already planning to come back soon to try their macarons and cupcakes, which looked incredible in the display case. I just have two “complaints”. We ordered Bianca Pizza with meatballs. We did get charged for the meatballs but there were indeed no meatballs on the pie. Not the end of the world but disappointing.

The other is more of a suggestion. The food came barely warm. I’m not sure if you have insulated delivery packs but it seems like maybe not.

Flavor was on point so I do want to stress I would like to give it another shot.”

For lunch, I dove into the veggie Nacho Supreme, while my husband tackled the shredded beef chimichanga. Both dishes were seasoned to perfection and so filling that we both waved the white flag before finishing.

Our waitress was a rockstar, constantly checking in without being overbearing. But, like any story, there’s a twist. The bathroom, while functional, missed a key ingredient: napkins. My germaphobic heart wasn’t thrilled about touching the door handle after washing up—c’mon, let’s close that cleanliness loop! Also, when I asked for a lemonade to-go, I expected a fresh drink, but was handed a cup to transfer my leftovers. A minor hiccup, but lemonade deserves its own fresh start, don’t you think?

All in all, a solid 4 stars. The food and service are worth a visit, just BYON (bring your own napkin) if you’re as picky about bathroom details as I am.”
