We had pasteis, cheese bread and tapioca as appetizers. For entree we had lasagna, risoto with ribs, picanha and pasta al limone. Everything was absolutely delicious, really outstanding food quality. Chocolate mousse and dulce de leche petit gateau are a must. Highly recommend Rustic21 if you are a foodie :) We will be back for sure!! Thank you!”

It’s “casualer” fine dining—French bistro casual—where the emphasis is really on the quality of food, drinks and service.First of all, the service… Tony is literally the BEST server I have had in JAX. Thank you for doing a proper mise en place. He’s professional, passionate about the food, knowledgeable about the menu. I could tell he fired food based on the pase of our table. Nailed it.Second, the details. My plate was hot, but not because it was sitting under a heat lamp, but because it was intentionally hot. I could tell that someone wiped my plate, because they take pride in what they’re serving.These two qualities sets this restaurant apart (unfortunately) from literally every other “fine dining” restaurant I’ve tried so far in JAX.Third, they have foie gras, and it was excellent. They have duck confit. This is the type of restaurant where I’m sure there’s a giant tub of duck feet in the back. It’s legit confit. And it tasted like that. Props to the chef.So, if you’re a foodie. Come here. Eat the “weird” food on the menu, so that the chef has an audience for cool specials.”

“I wasn't that much of a fan of Indian food, but this one changed my mind. Their chicken is juicy,buttery and colorful. Tandoori chicken and curry chicken are a great start for me and they're better than I expected. Service was good, nothing to complain. Overall, very great atmospheric restaurant, if you're interested on trying Indian cuisines I would recommend it.”

The service is a bit slow, but that's cause everyone knows they're the best, and they're busy every time I've been. Stop by for the lunch special; two slices and a drink for $10.50. It'll fill you up. Can not be beat.”

“I went to Fast Eddy's last night. This place was obnoxiously delicious and knowledgeable and friendly. The owner immediately greeted us. Got our drinks and placed the order for the kiddos. (With a special upgrade for my daughter's burger because she won her volleyball game.) Then he took the time to walk through everything my husband (wheat allergy) and I (Celiacs and Dairy Allergy) could eat. There was a large portion of the menu that we could have. We went with the Beef Tikka and it was FANTASTIC. My husband and I were fussing over who got the leftovers for lunch the next day. This place is amazing. And SAFE. Which means the world to anyone with food allergies. I can't wait to go back.”

“Loved this little place. Waitress and atmosphere were both pleasant and comfortable. Making a reservation was quick, easy, and simple and the food was pretty good. Parking was alittle hard to find being that it is in a busy area in Riverside. We had a window view seat, which I love. Try the Sweet potato Pancakes, they are really good.”

It was the best pizza we’ve had in Jacksonville by far. Another family told us they drive 30 minutes to eat here. We were on this side of town but live 35 minutes away. We will definitely be back. This will be a new favorite place for us.”

“This is my 1st choice when it comes to seafood restaurants. Sadly we are a little bit far from this place but it's definitely worth the trip. When you first enter the restaurant you will be greeted and you the special will be on the left so make sure to look there because you don't want to miss the goodStuff! This place is huge, they have a bar at the back corner of the restaurant and the rest is a seating area. We've been here 4 times and I have tried their blackened shrimp and the way they seasoned their shrimp is just perfect! The steamed oyster was delicious and I can just eat that everyday! We also tried the fried gator and at first I wasn't sure but I'm so glad I tried it because it was so good! The sides that comes with the food is fries, coleslaw and hush puppies, I don't eat a lot of coleslaw but this coleslaw is great! This place is definitely worth a visit! You can tell that their seafoods are fresh and that's a must!”

A couple other reviews have talked about being disappointed by portion size and price, but I think that comes down to expectations. “I know this isn't a local joint, but it was late and local options were slim at the time. I wanted to send a shout out to Waffle House on Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville for an excellent experience last night. We walked in for a late dinner at 10 minute to 9. They were packed and short staffed. We grabbed the only open table and the shift leader (manager?), who was also cooking, brought our drinks and took our order, advising that it may be a wait. While we were there, 4 staff members that had been called in to help showed up and went right to work. They were a well oiled machine, continually checking on all of the tables, apologizing for the wait, and thanking everyone for their patience. We got our food and left within an hour. If we had gone to the IHOP 2 doors down, we would have still been waiting for our food (even in the best of times.) I know times are tough for the service industry right now, but these ladies and gentlemen handled it with grace and efficiency. I tipped 50% of the bill, and would have done much more if I could have.”

She politely requested we sit at the bar area so it would be easier for her to serve us, and since we both work in food service as well, we of course obliged. Elizabeth did an excellent job of making sure we did not feel ignored, for example by letting us know she was going to serve the person who walked in before us and would be back after that. There was a minor mistake with our order, but it was corrected quickly and easily. I hope to enjoy Elizabeth's excellent service again in the future.”

Nervous energy I guess or maybe just glad the storm impacts have been minimal. A happy brunch made for a welcome distraction. They do not wash their hands.. bread falls on the floor and they put it back on the line to be cut and bagged up. I wish the customers knew just how gross this establishment is!”

“The truck came by my work and I decided to check it out, expecting not to get anything because ice cream can hurt my stomach and I'm not the biggest fan of shaved ice. I saw the sorbet and I was sold, I can't remember if I got strawberry and raspberry sorbet or if it was just one of those flavors. It came in a cold orange peel which was both cute and kept the sorbet cold. The sorbet was delicious and the texture of it was perfect, it was never melty but also wasn't hard at all so the spoon picked it up perfectly. It came with a strawberry and a raspberry on top that tasted and looked fresh. I would love to run into this truck again and get another treat!”

I had to go inside to grab the sauces that I requested upon ordering and the lobby was filled. Music was bumpin' which is important to me as a customer and in the past, when I was working upbeat, dance music helped me stay happy and productive even when I was nonstop busy. They had 4 cashiers taking orders and expediting them in addition to about 6 cooks (was probably more but I could see some thru the window plating orders) checking everything for perfection! I'd eat here every day if I could afford it ? Got the 3item platter combo with curly fries instead of crinkle and a side order of fried okra. It was about $30 plus they gave me a free jumbo cup of ice. The young lady that brought my order out even complimented me on my beautiful daughters ?”

“I’ve now been to two of Jax’s Brazilian Steakhouses (twice to Terra Gaucha and once to Fogo out at Town Center) and I can say with absolute certainty I prefer Terra Gaucha. Not only is the food phenomenal (as one might expect) and the drinks sublime (I recommend a caipiroska, personally), but the service is absolutely top notch. Watching the various servers and waitstaff moving around the dining space is like watching a choreographed beehive; no one stands idle, and no one is above helping with the little tasks (clearing tables, topping off water, replacing plates). I couldn’t possibly capture each of the names of the people who helped make it a fantastic night even on my best day, but two stand out: Jessica (our server) had the absolute best disposition, and Iskender (a manager) was so attentive to everything it seemed he knew we were looking for something even before we did. I specifically chose Terra Gaucha for a personal celebration because they make the best caipiroskas in town, but I am heartened and incredibly grateful to have received the best service I would never think to ask for. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating (that allergen list is a beauty!), and so completely pleasant to interact with, that Terra Gaucha will come first to mind for all future celebrations!Dietary restrictions: If you ask they will provide a thorough list of all items with major dietary and allergen concerns (dairy, shellfish, fin fish, seeds, soy, garlic, onion, and nuts are what I recall offhand, though I remember others listed) that they’ll leave at your table so you can refer to it as needed. This includes both the rodizio items circulating in the dining room, the salad bar, and the dessert options.”

The coffee was expertly brewed and absolutely delicious, and the baristas were friendly and accommodating. The cart itself was beautifully decorated and fit perfectly with our wedding aesthetic. Our guests loved being able to customize their coffee orders with a variety of syrups and toppings. There is no claw game and my kids saw one in the photos for the place. Silly I know, however if you have kids it's everything. Also probably a huge moneymaker so investing in one would be good because kids make you return for this type of thing 2. Don't put diced green onion on a kids pizza as garnish. My daughter loved it once we picked it off, but most kids are picky and if they want extras they'll ask for it 3. The buck game didn't work, even with dollars so again, I think this would probably be a decent way to make additional money so make sure the games work as my kids likely would have spent half my wallet I'm only giving suggestions because I really liked this place, our waitress was friendly and very attentive. The food was great and I really want us to go back again soon!”

I’ve been with large parties both times so I’ve had a chance to sample a number of dishes. I can’t say anything has been bad. We personally love the wings for an appetizer along with the buffalo shrimp and the crab and artichoke dip. The bowtie pasta is outstanding, and the salmon plank melts in your mouth like butter. The bacon wrapped scallops are to die for, and even the fried shrimp are good. You can’t go wrong here. And don’t forget the desserts.”

I ordered a Mai Thai once everything was settled. I wish it would have had grenadine and less ice, but it was still good nonetheless. Afterwards, we had the Salmon Mango Tartare. Which was amazing. The flavors paired together very well. I'm not much of a fruit and seafood girl, but this tasted great. After that, they brought out hot appetizers for everyone to try. Gyoza, shumai, crab Rangoon, spring rolls, and edamame. I tried everything except the crab Rangoon since I don't like cream cheese. It was very good and not greasy at all. They brought us nigiri next, followed by sashimi. I had the yellowtail and tuna, as those are my two favorites anyway. We had the Birds Nest roll followed by the Volcano Roll. Both were delicious. And they set the volcano roll on fire at the table. It was beautiful. They brought out hibachi, with steak, chicken, and shrimp. They had broccoli, zucchini, and carrots as the vegetables. And finally, they brought out the mochi. I tried the mango and strawberry since green tea has always been too bland for me. All in all it was an amazing time with really great people. This is why I keep going back!Dietary restrictions: They are very cooperative when asking for accommodations to dietary restrictions and also for our little picky eater.Kid-friendliness: The cooks always take my young daughters into account. They are gentle on her with the flames, not to over do it and scare her, but also interact with her and the other guests to make everyone feel welcome and part of the dinner. I LOVE their cooks. We've had 3 different ones on multiple occasions. The one with the boombox coming out always makes for a nice laugh. Went went at least once a month after that until we moved from the area. The owner, who waited on us on multiple occasions was always so thoughtful. We were pregnant with our first, as was his wife and, and we spent a lot of time talking about our soon to be children. We moved before our son was born, but whenever we think back on our time in Jacksonville, this restaurant and its owner, always come to mind. Tandoori chicken and curry chicken are a great start for me and they're better than I expected. Service was good, nothing to complain. “-Beautiful interior with acoustics kept in mind -Solid wine list & well crafted cocktail menu -Food was exceptional. Head on shrimp appetizer was amazing, so perfectly cooked the shell seemed to dissolve on the tongue. The sauce it was served with had just enough salt, acid, & spices to compliment the shrimp but not overpower it. Was hesitant to order a burger at a seafood restaurant and I was humbly incorrect. First bite deceived me as the char was a bit strong on its own, but the second bite when everything (the sauce, fresh pickle, buttery bun, the onions, wood fired waygu & cheeses (Gouda & Brie)) all came together to work some magic on the burger. Our table got all three desserts, they were solid. But the key lime pie was the star of that show. Best one I have had in some time! Our server Jason was already well versed with the ins & outs of the menu and was cool & calm on the second night of service.”

“I would rate this place: 5/5 decor 5/5 cocktails 3/5 food It has potential but it is at a very strange location: a random strip mall behind Bally's Fitness in Southside. You won't see it off the main road. You see the valet parking sign but there's no need for valet when there's an entire empty parking lot at a strip mall where most of the stores are closed. It would be better suited in Downtown Jacksonville riverfront to revamp our downtown area or San Marco/Riverside area. It is a beautiful space that you would see in Miami including the prices. Tip: dress to impress in a classy way or to a buisness meeting. Don't show up in jeans, Tshirt and sneakers.”

We had shrimp quesadilla and shrimp fajitas with black beans and they did not disappoint - especially fresh made black beans served with fresh made guac salad mmm mmm good! Beer was a bit pricey - $7.75 for Dos Equis (really???). And it was flat. So don't get that - and ask about the beer pricing before you order (not on the menu). Our server was so sweet! But overworked - noticed others standing around so better scheduling would help as you all get settled - especially with the concert crowd. Overall nice night we left very happily stuffed!”
“This is my first time trying this place. The Gyro tasted fresh but I wish to tell them that no onions I never had a gyro served with onions in it. The fries were great.
