Fajitas came out sizzling hot.my son had fajita chicken quesadila, served with shredded lettuce, sour cream and guacamole and Spanish rice. “Always a great meal and time. We pass a few other Mexican restaurants on the way here but this is our ‘go to’ spot. They always keep you stocked w chips and salsa which I appreciate. Tons of choices on the menu and the servings are plentiful. Everything is made scratch except the chips. Staff is very attentive without being overbearing. Place can get busy but you never feel too crowded and we’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. Overall it’s just a great place to go to get a healthy portion of really good food at a fair price. We’ll be back next week.“

“Food and service are wonderful. However it's a restaurant not a sports bar. Watch the baseball games at home! Not in the dining room of a family restaurant. And either work, or watch the game. Very unprofessional and not so sanitary to be back and forth working in the kitchen, and hanging out with friends and family in the dining room watching the game. If this continues I will be forced to not return, which is sad because the food is so good and the buffet is never boring!!“

I’ve had better, but the food was pretty decent, but the great service we received made up for any issues we had at all. “Que Padre Mexican Restaurant is a great Mexican restaurant located in a small standalone building on University Boulevard on the southside of Jacksonville, Florida. Walking into Que Padre Mexican Restaurant, I was impressed with the overall ambiance. The walls are black with murals painted throughout the building. The service here was as impressive as the ambiance. My server was friendly and professional and made a few good recommendations. She also brought me my complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. I ended up going with three tacos. One was a birria taco, one was a carne asada, and the last taco was a chorizo taco. The chips and salsa were a great start and the tacos were stellar, as well. The birria taco did not come with the usual consome, but was enjoyable. My favorite taco out of the three was definitely the carne asada taco. All in all, I would definitely recommend Que Padre Mexican Restaurant and I will give it five stars as an overall rating.“

“I have been coming here since I was in highschool. I graduated in 2017. This place never fails, all the same workers since as well. They’re all so amazing and extremely accommodating and friendly. I usually go every Thursday for the dollar tacos. Today we went for my daughters birthday which was also during $1 Taco Thursday, they let me place a reservation for 10 and were so patient and accommodating and so so friendly they were super fast and the food was absolutely delicious. I’m so thankful for this establishment and the staff. I love it here and will always come here ❤️“

“This was our first time at Las Tapatias Mexican restaurant and 4 of us dined in last evening. The dinners were all so good and very authenticity prepared Mexican cuisine! I had Barria Cabrito and this is the only place outside of Texas that I have found Cabrito and it was fantastic. However, the menue stated braised goat chunks and it was actually prepared as barbicoa but still delicious, served with rice, beans, home style corn tortias, chopped onions and cilantro! “The owner, Ricardo was a very talented man who worked very hard, and was very kind. He and his family make awesome cabeza quesadillas. The meats he used were amazing and I love his lamb soup. He recently passed away on June 15th, 2023, and I am praying for his family that also work very hard.
