“We had a work 2026 New Year's Eve party at Island Wings on Southside Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. I worked with Rashad Graham, the catering manager and our waiter named Jared. They were FANTASTIC!!! Every step of the way in planning, Rashad was there and ready to help and give suggestions. When I arrived, early, for the party they already had everything set-up and ready to go. Rashad came and met me and introduced me to Jared. They had everything planned. Jared was assigned only to our group for getting cocktails. He was amazing, taking care of close to 35 people and no one was ever searching and searching for him. He remembered names and faces. The food was delicious and there was SO MUCH! They supplied boxes and we all took home some food. I have to say, this was one of the BEST parties we have ever had! Will be looking to them again for a other party in the future.“

“My mom and I picked up a 4-pack of cookies. The cookies were tasty, but a little too doughy for me in my opinion. I prefer my cookies a little crisper around the edges. However, I actually did enjoy.

One in particular to my surprise, was the Confetti Milkshake cookie. It has sprinkles. I’m anti-sprinkles on all things. But mom wanted to try it. I must say that was my favorite. It was a little crisper than the others and the icing was creamy and not too overly sweet.

Yes, I would return as the cookies are tasty.

Side note, reserve some calories for the day because one cookie can set you back 700 calories and rising. LOL! I say share the calories with someone as these cookies are huge.

We got there around 6:40 on a Sunday evening. The place was busy but we still found parking and plenty of outside tables, and we ended up at the bar. Service started strong — our bartender Jacob was friendly, helpful, and quick to make recommendations. Later in the meal, we found out he’s also the owner and pitmaster, which honestly explains a lot about the pride and attention to detail that came through in everything. I ordered the 3 Meat Platter ($18) with Sliced Brisket, Smoked Turkey, and Pork Ribs, plus sides of Baked Beans with Sausage and Collard Greens, served with Garlic Texas Toast (not pictured). My coworker ordered the Burnt Ends Platter with Fried Okra and another helping of beans, and we also tried the Homemade Bacon — as to be expected here, it’s from the butt and not the belly. Thick little piggy nuggets of yummy. Everything was served classic-style on butcher paper over a metal tray. Portions were bigger than expected for the menu price points, and the food came out quick but not too quick. All the meats are smoked over pecan wood, giving a smooth, balanced flavor. • Brisket: 9/10 — tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being over-smoked. • Turkey: great flavor and really showcased the homemade sauces. • Ribs: my favorite — great smoke and cooked-on sauce. • Bacon: thick, savory, and pure indulgence. • Collard Greens: 11/10 — best I have ever had. Flavor, tenderness, and added-in meat. Wow. • Toast: simple but super flavorful. Crisp. The vibe was authentic, chill, and laid back — the perfect kind of find that feels unassuming on first pull up, but then it just envelopes you into a transformative, legit meat experience. Between the food, service, and atmosphere, The Butt Hutt hits all the marks of a great local BBQ spot. First timer. Will be a second timer. Must-try: Collard Greens & Ribs. Next trip: Jerk Chicken and Wings (and of course, will double up on the side of collards).“

We started with the crab cake—wow! The flavors were incredible, and the portion size was perfect for an appetizer. The red wine was served perfectly chilled. For our main course, we had the bison short rib with fresh mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. You can truly taste the difference here—they specialize in fresh, made-to-order food with no freezers or microwaves, and it shows. This will definitely be our go-to spot from now on. “Okay, so I’m not sure if my review is THE MOST helpful ever (it’s based solely on their cookies) but I think I just ate the most transcendent cookie I’ve ever had. A family member was on their way back home from the airport and picked up a few items including a German chocolate cookie and an Oreo cookie (and one other that I have yet to try), and she offered them to me. I hadn’t tried their food before, so I wasn’t expecting anything, but I took a bite out of the German chocolate cookie and it transported me to heaven. It was so dense and packed with flavor and just absolutely delicious, as was the Oreo version. I *would* warn against eating too much of it in one sitting, as they’re both huge and will most definitely give you a sugar rush, but it’s so worth it. I’m a bit devastated because I live too far to visit Jax regularly, but the next time I’m there, I’m stopping by to try more of the menu! Amazing job to whoever created the recipe and baked these!“
