“We stumbled on this place last night because we needed to go somewhere to wait for my daughter to get out of a concert. Not wanting a bar or restaurant, we found this coffee shop that was open to 1am. When we pulled up, I immediately felt like I was in Europe. Men sitting outside at tables drinking coffee and talking. When I walked inside and saw the menu, it brought me back to Bosnia and Herzegovina where the drink prices were under $3 for drinks! We asked the owner where he from and learned that he was from Sarajevo, Bosnia. He had been to Medjugorje so we talked about that for a few minutes. I got 2 large hot chai lattes and a big muffin for under $10. The atmosphere was great with lots of college aged students as well as old people my age 😂. There was music outside and art inside. This was the best vibe I got from a coffee shop in a long time. I can’t wait to go back!“

“I was really bummed when Starbucks closed and turned into a Gregorys. However, my disappointment was short lived after trying it. Their coffee is consistently good and I always love their seasonal offerings. The employees are very friendly, the service is quick, and the shop is a vibe. I definitely recommend trying Gregorys out!“

“I happened to find this place on maps because it was nearby and I do not regret going a bit out of my way to try it! The very skinny girl (sorry I didn't get her name) was so kind and helpful from the moment we walked in to the second we left. She was so cheery and friendly, and walked us through everything every step of the way. She even came from behind the counter to explain it to us face to face. The customization is awesome, and the variety is great. Would love to see some more options in the future like matcha or strawberry milks and rotating toppings (maybe different toppings vs ingredients so that you get more variety?) but we LOVED it nonetheless! My husband and I both got a regular and it was way too big so we could have shared one. Their portions are generous and the quality was great.

For those who have never been:
You choose your cup size, add fillings, add your cream base, then hand it to them to freeze up in a mixer for you. They then scoop it back out once frozen into your cup or a cone, if you buy a cone, and then you get to add toppings on top before chowing down! I will say the toppings are hard to put on because the scoop is only so big on the cup or cone and they mostly fall off, but still really good.

We would absolutely come back again and if a lay visiting friends or family asked for good ice cream, we would (and will be) bringing them here! Don't go anywhere!“

“This place is WELL worth it! We stopped in at ELEON Pizza & Pastry in River City on a whim. They are a true diamond in the rough. You can’t find desserts like theirs anywhere. Period. The goodies in their bake case are nothing short of beautiful. Their shakes are insane. Looking at the rest of the menu, there are plenty of food and sweet options and every one looked/sounded amazing. THIS.PIZZA. The owner talked a big talk but he certainly walked the walk. With impressive experience around the world and eye for quality, this is probably the best pizza I have EVER had. Last but not least, their customer service was everything you could want. They are a husband and wife duo who took time to genuinely engage in conversation with us. They are a small spot now but have big dreams. I look forward to being one of those people who can say they knew them before they blew up. Run don’t walk. You won’t be disappointed!“

“I walked into The Greenhouse expecting coffee and maybe a fern. Instead I found what appears to be a botanical speakeasy run by three suspiciously charismatic side characters who all clearly have lore.

First: Becka, the bingo host. I don’t know how bingo became high theater, but Becka somehow made calling numbers feel like a live comedy set being performed inside a terrarium. Funny, chaotic, weirdly commanding. If she told me B-12 was a prophecy, I’d believe her.

Then Colby. The bartender. Disturbingly competent. The kind of bartender who hands you a drink and for a brief moment you think, “Maybe I do have my life together.” Calm, perfect, efficient. Possibly engineered in a lab specifically to make beverages and maintain eye contact.

And then there’s Mace.

Mace does not simply work at The Greenhouse. Mace appears to have been summoned by the plants.

Stunning. Mysterious. Somehow knowledgeable about coffee, cocktails, houseplants, and probably at least one forbidden branch of botany. You ask one question about a pothos and suddenly you’re receiving ancient greenhouse wisdom from someone who looks like they know where the secret door is.

The whole place feels less like a coffee shop and more like somebody accidentally opened a portal between a cocktail bar, a plant conservatory, and the coolest living room in Jacksonville.

Come for the coffee. Stay for the plants. Accidentally become emotionally invested in the staff.

“A wonderful little hole-in-the-wall coffee shop with incredibly friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, and fantastic coffee. It’s a great place to set up a laptop and get some work done or just grab a drink with a friend.

Rumor has it they’re expanding into the unit next door, which should make an already great spot even better. The staff were genuinely kind and even brought me a glass of water because I mentioned that I tend to forget to hydrate. It’s that kind of thoughtful, personal touch that makes places like this stand out.

“So happy to have this awesome coffee shop in Jacksonville! If you haven’t had it in Tallahassee you are in for a true coffee experience! The coffee is very smooth and roasted perfectly- not burnt like some shops that think bitter is good! I got an espresso and a cappuccino because I needed to truly test the coffee! “I loved the gluten free options! Only complaint I have if any, was the wait time was a little strange. Didn’t have many customers (4 total) and I waited over 20 minutes for an Italian bubble sandwich. The crew wasn’t super quick to get things done. The sandwich was good but I feel like the customer service could be worked on.“
