“Limited house brews. We tried 4 and 3 were Ok to good, and 1 was nasty. They have beers from other breweries to offset. Seating was comfortable and they had a couple of lounge sitting areas. They had a poker night on Wednesday that if I had known about would have been interested in. So average as a brewery I felt, but gave extra star because the chairs were comfortable (some breweries don't understand that you aren't staying long if you have to seat in crappy metal chairs). Various food places in the same area you can get from.“

The pizzas are average however they have a good specialty ones.

The piano 🎹 man, Roger Wood is so talented. He is such an old soul musician, plays the crooner standards that Baby Boomers love. Did I mention the food is fantastic. Vito's is such a fun time. For our main course, we had the bison short rib with fresh mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. “My husband, girlfriends, and I had the best time, and “Reagan R” made it even better! She was so friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s rare to get service that good anywhere in Jacksonville and food that is almost as good as the service. Now a days places just throw eggs on a plate and call it a meal but this was a whole experience. One of my friends is very picky and is one of those girls that has to ask 15 annoying questions without reading the menu and Reagan was so patient with her and kind. I never write reviews but we all had such a good time that it left us talking about going back the very next day. “Okay… Yellow Rose BBQ?? I get it now.

We got the Pitmaster Platter with brisket + turkey tacos, a Texas Rosebud (and I’m not exaggerating when I say I could eat like 12 of those), plus fries, mac and cheese, and elote pasta salad.

The brisket… I’m being so serious when I say this is some of the best brisket I’ve ever had in my life. Like actually insane. So tender, so flavorful, didn’t need sauce at all. None of the meats did, which says everything.

The turkey was also SO good!! juicy, thick, not dry at all (which is rare for turkey tbh). I don’t even usually care about turkey like that but this?? yeah, this is the only place I’ll eat turkey from.

THE SAUSAGE IS ALSO WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF. You know those sausage snap videos on instagram??? Yeah they’re so good you’ll turn into a glizzy gobbler real quick lol

And what makes this even better is my best friend (who put me on) is from Texas and is super picky about her BBQ… so this had high expectations and it still exceeded them.

I literally cannot stop thinking about this food. Like it’s a problem.

The staff is so much fun to deal with, and it’s flattering to know that they recognize me whenever I stop in. The usual fare for me is standard food (omelettes/fried egg, meat, hash browns, toast); however, today’s choice was the pork chop & eggs special. Thoughts? This needs to be placed on the regular menu. Wow! The pork chop was “over-the-top” delicious and was a perfect match with the other items on my plate (OE eggs/HBs/biscuit). I’m hoping (praying?) that this dish stays on the specials list through this weekend! Special shoutouts to my 3 favorite servers (Rachel, Jacklyn, & Monica-all in a tie for 1st place) and to today’s greeter (whose name I can’t recall and apologize for that). All of them are friendly, efficient, and lots of fun to chat with. Keep up the great work. See y’all over the weekend!“

If you don’t, I don’t want to know you…anyway, the hash brown casserole is better than that other place who tried do a “re-branding” mostly cuz I don’t see any onion chunks in it (cuz I am picky like a five year old and do not want to know if there are onions in my food). 🧅 Next, the donut cronut fried things are pretty good! I also like the scrambled eggs and bacon they use (cuz I am also picky about my bacon, duh). 🥓 Oh, and the coffee is also pretty good but I feel guilty because they give me a bunch of cream flavors that I won’t use and am afraid they just throw them out. “This was my first time visiting JJ’s Cafe. Immediately I was greeted by the friendly owner and gave him my order. He asked my name and asked me if it was my first time in. I said yes and he let me pick out a cookie (which is delicious!). While I sat and waited for my food which wasn’t long at all I noticed a group of gentleman visiting with one another. The owner was also speaking to them all. Two other guests came in to order after me and they greeted them by name and had a quick but personable conversation. The gentleman cooking knew their names too and so did the woman working as well. I got the Italian Stallion which was delicious. Overall great prices for delicious fresh food. But what made me write a review was the service and the atmosphere. I saw a sign that said “leave as friends” and it seems they certainly practice that. Thank you for my lunch and pleasant service!“
