“This place appears child friendly but I went last night with my hubby for a date. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had in my life. Ceviche app was also chef’s kiss. My husband had the Chicken and Hoecakes dish. Again, 🤯! The desert was okay but everything else including staff were phenomenal. Atmosphere was nice, dim lighting surrounds you in raw architecture with an intimate feel. Drinks were also incredibly good. If you’re on the fence, get off it and go!“

We were novices and had never prepared blue crab before. Instead of being annoyed at our lack of knowledge, he explained at great length and in easy to understand detail, how to prepare his delicious crab in several different ways. “A True Hidden Gem in St. Augustine The Collage exceeded all our expectations. We’ve visited St. Augustine many times, but this was our first time discovering this incredible restaurant, and what a find! We were celebrating our 21st anniversary and stumbled upon The Collage online. Thinking it would be quiet on a Wednesday night, we didn’t make a reservation. Despite being fully booked, Megan, the restaurant manager, went out of her way to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated. Our server, Franco, was warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable. The food was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. We began with the beef carpaccio and watermelon salad; both beautifully prepared. For our main course, we each had the 8oz filet topped with gorgonzola sauce, and every bite was mouthwatering. Between courses, we were treated to a refreshing raspberry sorbet to cleanse our palates—a lovely touch. For dessert, we shared a warm pound cake with raspberry coulis and fresh whipped cream, paired with perfectly made espressos. The ambiance was quaint, cozy, and romantic,ideal for a special occasion like ours. We especially loved that the menu changes regularly, offering something new to look forward to each time. “honestly this place is such a good find. we stopped on a whim and the beer was cold and fresh which is all you really need. the space is super chill with a big open dock looking out over the field. i got a flight and my favorite was the brown ale it had a nice smooth finish. the guy working was friendly and let us try a couple before we picked. definitely coming back next time we are in the area.“

“I have gone to Ned’s for several years, nearly every week. I would truly consider it the crown jewel of restaurants in St. Augustine. There’s something for everyone, and the portions are huge. You often see the same friendly faces week after week, and the service is absolutely world class. Any time anyone is looking for a recommendation, Ned’s is the place to go. My family and I consider it our go-to and almost a second home when you want the home style cooking, without the necessity to do your own dishes. Sunday bunch, a weekday lunch, or dinner over the weekend. This is the place to go!“

“Vibes are impeccable, food is even better! We stumbled upon this place after a kayak tour half a mile away. The menu seemed our speed and we’re in from out of town. Not only was the food unbelievable but the music playlist gets an A+ from an Elder Emo like me. They played Pinback, The Postal Service, of Montreal… some stuff I haven’t heard in years. I’ve living in large cities and I’ve never found a spot quite like this one.

The menu has options that are really great for anyone with food sensitivities. My husband and I don’t have any so we ordered the breakfast burrito and the egg sandwich with wheat on both. They serve breakfast all day which is super sick and have a good variety for a smaller spot. I expected the food to be good, but it was even better than I anticipated. The vegetables were fresh, everything was cooked perfectly, and it was a really chill place to eat a meal and get great service. We’re only in town for a few more days, but we’ll be paying another visit before we leave.“

However, we stopped by a few nights later to eat here again and were told we weren’t able to eat inside, even though there was nobody seated inside. Other than that, we really enjoyed our experience here. Our server disappeared halfway through dinner, but was quickly taken over by somebody else and they never missed a beat. “While visiting the area, stopped in for lunch based on the other reviews here. I was looking for something less “touristy” and was not disappointed. We were brought to a table immediately. It was a little loud- they were playing hard rock and metal which I loved (though not sure my older parents were thrilled.)
The staff were very friendly and attentive.
We all ordered the FT Burger. Generally, I don’t have bacon, onions or sauce on my burgers but decided to try it as-is (also has Havarti cheese and pickle slices.) it came cooked exactly medium rare as ordered.
This was one of the tastiest burgers I have ever had, without exaggeration, and I’ve had some amazing ones. The natural-cut fries were great as well.
If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely come back.“
