“This place appears child friendly but I went last night with my hubby for a date. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had in my life. Ceviche app was also chef’s kiss. My husband had the Chicken and Hoecakes dish. Again, 🤯! The desert was okay but everything else including staff were phenomenal. Atmosphere was nice, dim lighting surrounds you in raw architecture with an intimate feel. Drinks were also incredibly good. If you’re on the fence, get off it and go!“

“What an amazing place. The food was fabulous. I had the chicken, eggs and cheese grits. OMG that breakfast was the best. The grits were excellent and I am super picky about my grits. The eggs were cooked perfect and the chicken was juicy and delicious. I then got the best biscuit I have ever had with cinnamon maple butter. Perfection from start to finish. Mari (the owner) was friendly and helpful. She took time to engage every customer no matter how busy she was. For you first timers parking is limited and it's counter ordering. There is not a lot of seating inside (fyi). BUT do not let either of these things discourage you the FOOD is absolutely, whole heartedly worth it. It's open Wednesday thru Sunday 8am to 12 noon. Do not walk; run to The West Egg! ENJOY“

“What a gem St Augustine has in its’ midst! We recently visited the fine establishment after reading previous reviews and was overwhelmed by the kindness and expertise of the owner! We were novices and had never prepared blue crab before. Instead of being annoyed at our lack of knowledge, he explained at great length and in easy to understand detail, how to prepare his delicious crab in several different ways. We served up a delightful, delicious meal that evening! The seafood was exceptional! He and his small business is a real asset to the community! You won’t be disappointed!!!!“

“honestly this place is such a good find. we stopped on a whim and the beer was cold and fresh which is all you really need. the space is super chill with a big open dock looking out over the field. i got a flight and my favorite was the brown ale it had a nice smooth finish. the guy working was friendly and let us try a couple before we picked. definitely coming back next time we are in the area.“

“We are not locals but this will be a must go to whenever we are in St. Augustine. All the staff were wonderful. Met the owners, chatted a bit and they are wonderful people. Food is great, wonderful view, covered and open dining with a great view of the river. Live music was the best.“

“So. Freaking. Good. We drove from NC today and had the absolute worst time dealing with traffic and torrential rain all day. Once we finally arrived to St. Augustine, we stumbled upon Catch 27. We were seated promptly by the sweet hostess. Greeted promptly by our server. The drinks were spectacular. Perfectly mixed with balanced flavors. We got the appetizer of the day, which was a crab rangoon dip with wonton crackers. Are you kidding me? So good. I got the blackened flounder beurre blanc. Seriously the best flounder I've ever had. The lemon caper sauce was the perfect compliment to the sweet potato mash. My boyfriend got the coconut crab cake with jasmine rice and Thai curry sauce. Such an authentic Thai flavor. No complaints whatsoever. This experience really saved our day. We've added Catch27 to our list of best restaurants!“

You often see the same friendly faces week after week, and the service is absolutely world class. Any time anyone is looking for a recommendation, Ned’s is the place to go. My family and I consider it our go-to and almost a second home when you want the home style cooking, without the necessity to do your own dishes. We’ve visited St. Augustine many times, but this was our first time discovering this incredible restaurant, and what a find! We were celebrating our 21st anniversary and stumbled upon The Collage online. Thinking it would be quiet on a Wednesday night, we didn’t make a reservation. Despite being fully booked, Megan, the restaurant manager, went out of her way to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated. Our server, Franco, was warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable. The food was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. We began with the beef carpaccio and watermelon salad; both beautifully prepared. For our main course, we each had the 8oz filet topped with gorgonzola sauce, and every bite was mouthwatering. Between courses, we were treated to a refreshing raspberry sorbet to cleanse our palates—a lovely touch. For dessert, we shared a warm pound cake with raspberry coulis and fresh whipped cream, paired with perfectly made espressos. The ambiance was quaint, cozy, and romantic,ideal for a special occasion like ours. We especially loved that the menu changes regularly, offering something new to look forward to each time.
