“LOVE!!!!! My husband and I tried this place tonight. We were hesitant because it didn’t look busy. Upon entering we saw some families inside. We ordered a large half deluxe half pepperoni. It was the best pizza we’ve had in Jacksonville by far. Another family told us they drive 30 minutes to eat here. We were on this side of town but live 35 minutes away. We will definitely be back. This will be a new favorite place for us.“
“Stopped here for a quick lunch before the long, boring drive back to Tallahassee. Cool little area of restaurants and bars. Staff was super-friendly and cool, and the 90's rock was a plus. Pizza was outstanding and made with high quality ingredients. A little higher priced than some pizza places, but I'll pay for higher quality any day of the week. Parking might be a challenge on weekends and nights, but no issues during the late lunch time. Would def eat here again.“
“A nice size pizza and a nice confident chef. The fresh tasting ingredients are the stand out for this establishment. But I was very impressed with the pizza chef opening the boxes to show the quality of the purchase before you leave. As a stromboli lover, I am happy to report that this is one of the biggest strombolis I have ever seen...would love to have a sauce however.“
“As a vegan, it is hard to find places with vegan pizza options and gluten-free crusts. Wild Pie checked all of the boxes and the pizza "themes" were absolutely delicious! We had the Saucy Sausage and Peppers and the Power to the Pesto. My dining companions are both meat eaters and they loved the flavors and said they would never be able to tell that it was vegan, so it's a great place to bring your non-vegan friends. In addition to the wealth of pizzas, they also had about half a dozen plant-based appetizer choices and several salads. Even the drink options, canned and from the fresh brewed containers, were all healthy and delicious. I went back again a few weeks later and had the seasonal "Let's Taco-Bout it" and it was amazing!“
“This place is WELL worth it! We stopped in at ELEON Pizza & Pastry in River City on a whim. They are a true diamond in the rough. You can’t find desserts like theirs anywhere. Period. The goodies in their bake case are nothing short of beautiful. Their shakes are insane. Looking at the rest of the menu, there are plenty of food and sweet options and every one looked/sounded amazing. THIS.PIZZA. The owner talked a big talk but he certainly walked the walk. With impressive experience around the world and eye for quality, this is probably the best pizza I have EVER had. Last but not least, their customer service was everything you could want. They are a husband and wife duo who took time to genuinely engage in conversation with us. They are a small spot now but have big dreams. I look forward to being one of those people who can say they knew them before they blew up. Run don’t walk. You won’t be disappointed!“
“This is gotta be the absolute best pizza that I ever ate. I grew up 58 years in Pennsylvania and tried pizza from New Jersey ,New York ,Pittsburg and everywhere in between. My wife and I moved down to Jacksonville a year and a half ago and found this quaint little establishment and they serve the best pizza that we ever ate. We also had The Stromboli and a calzone and were equally epic. If you’re in the area, you have to make a point to stop very friendly owners. Just got a meat lovers pizza tonight and had a slice. It’s a six out of five.“
“15 minutes before closing, we were greeted as if it was the opening for the day. This was our first time visiting Vito’s Pizza and the young ladies who waited on us answered all of our questions, made recommendations enthusiastically and were very attentive to our needs. Vito personally came over to welcome us and express his appreciation for choosing his restaurant for dinner. Vito’s Pizza has been open for 8 years and I am angry with myself for not trying them out sooner. This will definitely not be my last visit and I surely will be telling my family and friends to check them out.“
“It's truly a great pie. Go here no regrets if you like a neopolitan style pizza. The dough is unforgettable. We ordered the burrata too and was good. More balsamic and more tomatoes (heirloom)would have been better I think. Beers in a can or bottle but really should be on tap. They are here to stay so please get some taps and maybe cover some of the outside. This should be extremely popular all day and night long. Will be back! Love it“
“Glad we stopped in here. Visited for the first time Saturday night and had a great experience. Reese was our waiter and we couldn't have asked for a better one.Very good at communicating with us throughout the night and was knowledgeable when it came to wine. Seems to really care about making the customers have a good experience.I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.Thank you !“
“We have had the AMAZING experience of the serve r who calls herself MEGA TRON.. She is VERY customer oriented and has attention to detail with her customers orders. She is very knowledgeable about the selections they have to offer their customers. She’s funny and at the same time very respectful and all too happy to take care of their dinning needs. The pizza maker did an OUTSTANDING job and cooked our pizza to perfection unlike the other pizza establishments in the area that we have tried . We drove 25 miles to eat there and it was WELL WORTH the trip.“
“This place had some amazing pizza the meat lovers had sliced meatballs that just made the pizza so good.the desert was just as good we had there key lime pie that was just as amazing. service was really good and the owners were very nice people. if your ever looking for some good tasting pizza this is the place to go. thank yall so much for the kind service we were the couple from port arthur teaxs yalls place was amazing.“
“Excellent food. The shrimp and grits momentarily stopped time. My gluten free pizzas are amazing every time. This place fills up fast and they don’t take online reservations. Call 24+ hours in advance if you canSaint Louis style shrimp and grits? Idk but yumDietary restrictions: They have delicious gluten free crust. Shrimp and grits are gf as well.“
“This is a small restaurant in a strip mall but don't let that influence you. This is a nice place serving up fresh authentic foods. We had the lasagna and the homemade sauce was great. Also had the carbonara and it was good as well. Please note the actual menu may differ from the one online but they have a good selection. We also got lucky and it was free dessert Thursday. Don't miss that. The service was great too.“
“Some of the reviews are off..One person said pizza undercooked and one said too crispy. I always order crispy almost burndt . I am happy with the well done pizza Everytime at V's .Plus another said the employee laughed at his wife. Sure that didn't happen. Great place. Great service from Paul ( the manager) walking to each table to check up, Patrick ( the bartender) whom came to my table to check if I needed anything from the bar) This restaurant really wants to make sure you are having a great experience.Plus great open space outside for kids fenced in and children can play.“
“We went in for lunch today, everything was excellent. We’ve ordered and picked up before but never ate in restaurant. My husband had garlic knots, he loved them. We split a small cheese pizza (I’m from Long Island NY - that’s how you know a great Pizza) which was excellent! We will return for sure!“
“Me and my husband come here every Monday while we do laundry next door. The people are always so nice and the pizza is so awesome. Always piping hot and delicious. This will be our Monday night “date night” as long we live on the northside of Jax!“
“This location is customer-oriented. If something isn't right, they want to know so they can make it right. I love the availability of toppings to make my own pizza. It's definitely my favorite pizza spot!Try the new meatballs, they will make you want to go back every day.The pesto sauce and white sauce are amazing together. I can't wait to try the cheese bread.“
“i love the food service was amazing people was so friendly and was always on point checking in with us making sure we had everything. loved the place and the food pizza was perfect creamy cheese and the perfect amount of sauce the wing also had the perfect amount of sauce. im a “meaty” person so i know my stuff with food? i would give this place 100 stars! really recommend this for any time of the day!“
“I loved the place, the exquisite, delicious food, the presentation, the family atmosphere, the employees who were very friendly and helpful from the moment you entered, the manager attentive to every detail, we fell in love with the place. It's a pleasure to go and enjoy the food and all that they offer you fresh and varied food, a very good alternative.Kid-friendliness: Children's menu“
“2/24 WINGS ARE OFFICIAL...VISITED AGAIN AFTER READING FB GROUP "JAX BEST EATS" BEST WINGS IN JAX POST. BEEN PASSING THEM UP AFTER MY PIZZA EXPERIENCE A WHILE AGO...WILL DEF BE ON WINGS LIST FROM NOW ON. TIP: AIR FRY THEM FOR THAT EXTRA CRISP, AMAZING!!!THICK PEPPERONI. HEAVIER PIZZA. GREASY, SOGGY. ENTIRELY TOO MUCH PEPPERONI. I like light and crispy. Requested thin and crispy. Ate here before, couldn't remember why I never went back. Guess it'll be another 7 yrs before trying again.“
“I picked up the pizza so I can not speak about the atmosphere completely. But it looked nice like an old style NY pizza place. However, the PIZZA was DELICIOUS!!!!Parking: It is downtown so, parking will be hard to find right by the restaurant. I got lucky because I picked up during a non-peak period.“
“Overall, it was a nice experience. But their garlic cheese bread is to be called garlic cheese pizza, it's not bread, just garlic and cheese on a bread pizza, which is disappointing.Vegetarian options: We can choose the crust and veggies options from the available.“
“My family and I came here after a very long day in the South Bank Medical district ,our server was one of the friendliest and attentive people we have had in a long time! We ordered 2 pizzas and beer the beer was ice cold and the pizza was hot and delicious and the crust was fresh , toppings were really good too! Its great that it's just right down the street!“
“This place is amazing. But even more amazing is the people that work there. We needed 60 pizzas to help feed the homeless by 9am on a Saturday and they had me out of there before 9am. Thanks to Bill and they rest of the team. God Bless you all and your families.“
“A hidden gem that one might easily ride right past on the way to Amelia Island. You should definitely stop and check them out. Excellent food and entertainment with an amazing view that creates a wonderful atmosphere to sit and catch a quick bite with friends. It also helps that Cameron our server was really sweet and even gave us a military discount because she noticed we we’re veterans. Definitely would stop in again…Oh, and for those that like to fish, you can even pull in and fish off the dock or put your boat in the water with their accessible boat ramp.“
“Just left here after ordering for the first time. The service was great..the two young ladies behind the counter were so sweet...the place was nice and clean. The pizza was really good too..lots of cheese :) Letting my office know about you guys. I will be back for sure“
“My favorite local pizza place. They do NY style thin crispy pizza, even by the slice, but they have much more than just pizza, including home-made cheesecake and other desserts. A must try in Mandarin. Update: still my favorite (Dec 2023)!“
“Our first time here tonight and it will not be our last!! Our waiter was so attentive!!! The white pizza was so delicious, we added several items and it was so worth it!!! Very clean and at atmosphere was very relaxing... Thank You for our first visit for us to have an amazing night out!!“
“Food is always fresh and delicious , we got 2 house ceaser salads with creamy Italian , and a 12" pie with lots of veggies and 3 meats .. love that they have Pepsi products .. and the waitstaff is very friendly and helpful .. been coming to this location since i was 5 years old , I am now 40 , and it's ALWAYS been one of my favorite pizza joints in town ❤️❤️“
“Looking for big, new york style slices? This is the spot. On my first visit I got the meatball sub and a slice of Philly. Not a huge fan of mushrooms but I'll tell ya, I killed that slice. Full of flavor at a great price. This visit I told the owner about how the meatball sub wasn't great and she not only appreciated my feedback but wants to make it better. Its always nice talking to business owners willing to listen and look to please customers. Its an important relationship for local businesses. This visit I got the meat lovers and Hawaiian for my wife. I got the Philly (again) and the BLT. Also a order of mozzarella sticks. Ate the BLT and some sticks, not quite ready for the philly but all was great. Hot, fresh and the slice was a great iteration of a BLT. Crisp lettuce, tons of bacon, tomatoes and a mayo drizzle that isnt too abrasive. Wife enjoyed her meat lovers(also had before and while not a fan on pepperoni, loves this meat lovers).Havent had the pasta yet but will look to try it next time. Definitely give them a shot and if ordering the meatball sub, check that they have the inhouse meatballs. Think thats the game changer from what I had before.“
“Placed a take out order the other night. Great hole in the wall restaurant. Nothing fancy, just really good and affordable food. I had the anti-pasta salad. The dressing was to die for. They did not skimp on the portion either. I ordered a small for $5 and it was perfect. My boyfriend ordered the stuffed shells. It was less than $9 and a good sized meal. Didn't skimp on the cheese. We will definitely be back.“
“We had a family party at our house and decided we would order 5 large pizzas from Pizza Italiano. Everyone said they liked the pizza's and they were good. We called in the order the day before and had a 4:30pm pick up time the next day. Everything was ready and all pizzas were blazing hot when I picked them up. Thank you Pizza Italiano for providing great service and great pizza!“
“Last night was my first time eating at pizza cave, and immediately upon walking in, I was transported into a cozy, quaint little restaurant. The atmosphere was phenomenal, I felt like I could hang out for hours! We were immediately greeted by Kat with a very welcoming smile and presence.Kat brought us our food fast and checked up on us multiple times, making sure our food was satisfactory and always asked if we needed anything. Thank you so much for being our waitress, Kat! I will definitely be coming back and bringing all of my friends here ^-^ also the pepperoni pizza was sooo good, and if you've never tried swamp fries, you really need to!!“
“While traveling, this yummy pizza place ended up being our one-stop-shop for delicious food, a restroom, and fast service. The food and service were on-point and there seemed to be more than enough staff working! I loved the variety of toppings and crust options so I could make the pizza exactly what I wanted. The ambiance was perfect for bringing two kids into a restaurant. It's not a formal sit down, but an order and sit kind of place. While on the stop we even saw a letters to Santa station which was a nice touch. However, realizing this isn't quite Blaze's fault (more like the landlord) the bathrooms were backed up and closed. A quick fix I'm sure!“
“Fabulous! Maybe the best pizza I've had in 5 years. Slices are rare these days but Biggie's are, well, BIG! Nice thin crust, NY style pizza. They also have the thicker Sicilian style, I just haven't tried that. I got a pepperoni slice and a Buffalo chicken slice. The Buffalo was out of this world. Def gonna be my fave. Wife had 2 different veggies. Loved it all“
“We were in Murray Hill picking up our pottery from Jacksonville Pottery Studio (another place I'd recommend!) and decided to stop in as I've been really curious ever since I heard about a Larry's with a pizza restaurant in it. I thought it was going to be two separate restaurants sharing a space, but it's actually all owned by the same people responsible for Larry's! Just like Larry's bread is from NY, the pizza dough is made with NY water so it tastes more authentic! I actually don't really like NY pizza, it's too thin and "floppy" and greasy a lot of the time, but Fired Up pizza was really good and while it still had some "flop" to it, it was much more sturdy! Lol We sat at the bar and from there you can see the pizza cooking in the pizza oven. We saw some wings comes out too that looked realllyyy good!Service at the bar was good! They were nice and told us sort of the history of the Larry's people deciding to start a pizza restaurant. Food came out quickly too! I'm currently eating the leftovers for lunch, so I can attest it's still good the next day reheated in the toaster oven!“
“Our first experience was last night. I don’t know why we haven’t been here years ago. It’s very comfortable inside with a medium size bar area, booths, and tables. We had excellent service and the food was very fresh and delicious. I’m a pizza snob . Their pie had a tasty sauce . Not too sweet and fresh mozzarella. The house salad was great with their creamy Italian dressing. I only wish it was a larger portion because I could eat that every day.“
“Dr. Courtney Whiting is the best that I have ever had. There is no doubt in my mind she cares about my girl. She always does what’s best for her even getting down on the floor with her to make her feel at ease. Holly has always been wonderful to as a nurse. I am 100% confident in their care for Izzy. I consider Dr Whiting Family as she takes care of what’s most important to me and does it with love, compassion, wisdom, and passion. I am so grateful to her. I would never allow anyone else to care for my Izzy except her.“
“I was here because of a networking event. If you walk in Crispy's and go straight back, you will encounter stairs that take you up to a semi-private 2nd level(where the event was.) It was kind of confusing without any signs or people to guide you. There are AWESOME paintings from local artists on the walls. Some great work to choose from, the paintings are large and available to buy. I ordered "The Silver" pizza - Gorgonzola Cheese, Goat Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese & Roasted Garlic White Sauce Topped with Rosemary & Truffle Oil. The pizza looked good other than the burnt, bubbled up parts on top. It was also concerning how GREASY it was - you can see the box looks drenched in the photo with a slice removed. The smell of rosemary was super overpowering but MAN this thing tasted great! A wonderful blend of flavors, I really enjoyed it except for the burnt parts. The people were nice but had trouble finding my order because I ordered online. ? Finding parking was hard and I had to walk a couple of blocks. Overall, great late night spot for pizza. I'd go back to try more.Parking: Get there early so you can find parking. You might have to walk. Single ladies, be aware at night because the homeless walk around this area sometimes.“
“I know it's in a strip mall but I'm telling you this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Jacksonville, we stopped in once for their lunch buffet and was blown away by their food quality, not your typical cheap cruise ship foods, it was so good we decided to go back for dinner a few days later, just superb food, really home cooked with individual dishes and sauces, not 1 marinara sauce spread out over 10 differnt dishes, everything is unique in flavor.. I digress, this place is awesome, highly recommend. Oh and I should add the service is always exceptional, the wait staff really take such good care of you!“
“My husband recently surprised me with a reservation at Prati for a birthday dinner with my best friends. The staff worked closely with him to ensure the surprise went smoothly, and treated us like gold. Every experience my husband and I have had at Prati has been positive, and this time exceeded expectations. From the genuine kindness of the staff to the always incredible food (plus special birthday dessert), this was a magical night I will always cherish. Thank you to everyone at Prati!“
“We were just looking for a nice dinner and this ended up being the best part of our trip to Jacksonville!!! Best true Italian food ever and great service! Strongly recommend! We loved the owner/manager (think it was Freddie) and our server (Angela we think) was awesome too! If we can squeeze in another dinner, we will be there. This is a must do if in the area!“
“We lived in the area when Toscana first opened, before FB, and it was amazing. Our first time was for our 3rd wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have asked for better food and service. Went went at least once a month after that until we moved from the area. The owner, who waited on us on multiple occasions was always so thoughtful. We were pregnant with our first, as was his wife and, and we spent a lot of time talking about our soon to be children. We moved before our son was born, but whenever we think back on our time in Jacksonville, this restaurant and its owner, always come to mind. We are so glad to see that they are still around and wish them continued success. If we ever make it back to the area we look forward to bringing our boys to place that hold so many memories for us.“
“Honestly the food is really good, the service really good theirs sometimes one worker from when I've been here but they are very respectful and patient, if you done by Southside come give it a tryWheelchair accessibility: It's a decently open area for wheelchair accessibility, wouldn't see any problems if someone in a wheelchair wanted to go in“
“GAMBLE?️ GAMBLE?️ GAMBLE?️I absolutely have to give recognition to the GM Gamble!!!I had an issue with the third party ordering service that I used and decided to call the restaurant. I was already hangry and Gamble took the reins and made me a forever customer. He was friendly, understanding , efficient and most of all he solved my problem and really took care of me.He got my pie out and delivered it personally. I’ve never experienced such A1 customer service! I am so grateful for his service and I want to make sure that he knows just how amazing he is. Truly made a difference in my experience. Thank you Gamble if you see this. Keep doing what you’re doing!“
“The food was okay. But I don't think it was worth the money For a small sandwich And a little cup of pasta It wasn't worth thirteen dollars And the lobster bisk soup Had a really fishy taste to it. If you're looking something for kind of new You can try it once But I don't think I would go back a second time Sorry but it's not worth my money“
“I truly miss the loop as it was in the early 2000's. That being said, the food is still great 20years later. That never has disappointed me. However, this location is very small and apparently very popular. So arrive early if you want a place to sit. And be polite, if it's just two of you, save the booths for bigger parties. Space is limited and valuable here. Service is good but they seemed overwhelmed at times. Still got my order in a timely matter, just needs a bit more oil In the gears persay.“
“The place to go for real pizza.. I'm from the Midwest right next to Chicago. . So.. trust me. .. best pizza in Jacksonville. I love the can you go Holy Shiitake?? the traditional pizzas are amazing as well. Thank you thank you thank you :)Kid-friendliness: Kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I have been looking all over Jacksonville for good pizza and I’ve found it at Vinny’s!! The crust is a little floppier than I’d like, (should’ve ordered well done) but that sauce is out of this world, the crust flavor, fantastic, all around GREAT NY style pizza.Barstool Pizza Rating:Easy 8.8 / 10“
“Damn. This pizza might be the best in town. The cheese, the sauce, the pepperoni? Amazing. The service is a bit slow, but that's cause everyone knows they're the best, and they're busy every time I've been. Stop by for the lunch special; two slices and a drink for $10.50. It'll fill you up. Can not be beat.“
