I had the sausage biscuit and when I tell you there if I handed this to you and you ate it, you would never know that it was vegan. So much flavor in the sausage, the biscuit was super flakey and if I had time I would have gone back for another but was delivering a treat to my son. Appetizers we ordered: fried green tomatoes, calamari, poke nachos - all absolutely divine no complaints Hubby and I I ordered: Ribeye steak medium rare - this was cooked to perfection. It just the perfect amount of seasoning and charred just the way I like it. Seated New Bedford scallops - can I just say these were some of the best scallops I've ever had? So fresh, so moist and tender, perfectly seared on one side with flavors locked in each bite The grits were creamy and the broth presented with a nice flavorful. Collard greens were cut like I prefer them to be, not too big that it slivers down and makes you choke and not too small that it makes you feel like you're eating shredded veggies. “15 minutes before closing, we were greeted as if it was the opening for the day. This was our first time visiting Vito’s Pizza and the young ladies who waited on us answered all of our questions, made recommendations enthusiastically and were very attentive to our needs. Vito personally came over to welcome us and express his appreciation for choosing his restaurant for dinner. Vito’s Pizza has been open for 8 years and I am angry with myself for not trying them out sooner. This will definitely not be my last visit and I surely will be telling my family and friends to check them out.“

“These guys epitomize what it means to be a good neighbor. Tonight the power went out in my corner. I called it into JEA and trampled out to find some AC, a place to charge up my Phone and dinner. Between the electric and some work brouhaha I wanted no part of, I was flustered in ordering and blurted out my current predicament. The counter guy brought me a complimentary water, graciously let me use a power outlet, and let me get myself reset before returning to deal with JEA and what turned out to be a busted transformer. I was rushed or hurried out. There was no side eye of “how long is he going to be here” or even for the meager order I put in to justify my presence. In that moment they took care of my physically (food and water) and psychologically (safe place, charged up phone, etc). I was already a fan of this place before this hiccup in life. Now I’m a grateful patron who love this neighbor BIG time. To these guys it may not have seemed like they did much but in that moment you guys rocked it like all stars. So don’t go to these guys for their AMAZING food (I could have their samosas daily and be so happy). Go and celebrate what a WONDERFUL part of the community they are… forever in your debt for that hour of peace you guys gave.“

“I’ve now been to two of Jax’s Brazilian Steakhouses (twice to Terra Gaucha and once to Fogo out at Town Center) and I can say with absolute certainty I prefer Terra Gaucha. Not only is the food phenomenal (as one might expect) and the drinks sublime (I recommend a caipiroska, personally), but the service is absolutely top notch. Watching the various servers and waitstaff moving around the dining space is like watching a choreographed beehive; no one stands idle, and no one is above helping with the little tasks (clearing tables, topping off water, replacing plates). I couldn’t possibly capture each of the names of the people who helped make it a fantastic night even on my best day, but two stand out: Jessica (our server) had the absolute best disposition, and Iskender (a manager) was so attentive to everything it seemed he knew we were looking for something even before we did. I specifically chose Terra Gaucha for a personal celebration because they make the best caipiroskas in town, but I am heartened and incredibly grateful to have received the best service I would never think to ask for. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating (that allergen list is a beauty!), and so completely pleasant to interact with, that Terra Gaucha will come first to mind for all future celebrations!Dietary restrictions: If you ask they will provide a thorough list of all items with major dietary and allergen concerns (dairy, shellfish, fin fish, seeds, soy, garlic, onion, and nuts are what I recall offhand, though I remember others listed) that they’ll leave at your table so you can refer to it as needed. This includes both the rodizio items circulating in the dining room, the salad bar, and the dessert options.“
“Grassroots is a great market that is focused on health and wellness. The line of products they carry are all very good quality and value. As a bonus to their store, they craft delicious smoothies and juices. I really enjoy stopping in for specialty products and grabbing a smoothie to go. It is nice to have small markets like this in the community because it makes it easier to access quality foods, beverages and supplements without having to drive all the way to Whole Foods or other stores that are similar. The staff is very nice and helpful as well.“

“My son is an aspiring puppeteer, and he’s particularly fond of the Muppets and Jim Henson! I had a particular vision for son’s 8th birthday cupcakes, which I knew would be an effort to fulfill. My request was turned down by one bakery who led me on for about ten days, and yet another place wouldn’t have time! All of which began a time crunch for me to find someone to make these birthday cupcakes for my son! Fortunately for me, my wife has a former coworker who stopped nursing to pursue her bakery business b/c it had gotten so busy! Serendipity was at my doorstep! Ms. Renee at Heavenly Chocolate Creations agreed to fulfill this order for us last minute, and let me just say that I was beyond impressed! My imagination can be pretty detailed, but that was of no consequence to the ladies at HCC! The perfect detail with which they created these muppet character cupcakes created quite the stir among both the parents and the kids at my son’s party! Everyone with a phone took turns taking pictures and filling the room with oohs and ahhs! We can’t thank Ms. Renee enough for taking on this project and absolutely nailing the delivery! Well done!“
“Thai Green House popped up on one of my delivery apps, and told my husband we need to try it! We decided to go in instead of ordering for delivery to see what it was all about. Their menu is extensive, and the food was well spiced, cooked perfectly, and out to us fast. The staff is very attentive, and will offer recommendations upon request. We had the crab Rangoon for the appetizers, hor mok tulay and masaman curry with beef for entrees, and mango sticky rice for dessert. The presentation was appealing, the smell and taste of the food was perfect. If you leave here and you aren't full and aren't taking home leftovers, you have missed out! She checked on us, helped me pick out what to eat, got me extra sauce and a good amount of bacon. Everything was so fresh and delicious.
