“We frequent St. Augustine for an evening out about once a month from Mandarin (Jacksonville). We had the grilled mahi with grit cakes and grilled chicken spring risotto for dinner tonight. Fantastic food (kudos to the chef) and great attentive service. I also enjoyed 2 of their Manhattans which were as good as the ones that I had in New York!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!“
“We were so happy with our first time at this bakery! We got coffee cake, Easter cookie, chocolate cookie, fudge brownie, Twix bites, and a mango peach banana smoothie. Everything was DELICIOUS! We will absolutely be back.Dietary restrictions: Dairy free, gluten free, vegan accommodating!“
“This is my favorite restaurant. The food is great. The people are amazing. The owner is the nicest guy ever. They really go above ahead beyond. Very vegan and vegetarian friendly.Thank you so very much. Try their cinnamon coffee, it's amazing.“
“Let me first start out by saying that Manatee Cafe has been one of my favorite restaurants for like 10 years. I do not get to go a lot, but I went today for the first time in long time and it is just as phenomenal as it always has been! I get the Cajun chicken every time and I can say without hesitation that it is the greatest chicken dish I have ever eaten and probably in my top 3 favorite dishes of all time. Thank you all so much for everything and I will see you again soon!“
“It was my first time having lunch at Ned’s Southside Kitchen and it was a 10/10 for me. I had the Portabello Melt and the house seasoned shrooms were incredibly delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu. It all looks good.“

My favorite was the Sesame Crusted Tofu with Jasmine Rice & Wok Seared Vegetables! The Macadamia crusted halibut was also outstanding.Trio Dips - Hummus Tahini, Olive Tapenade, Romesco, Naan Bread, Carrot ChipsBomb. Chocolate Bomb- Molded Vegan Chocolate Mousse with Fresh Seasonal Fruit. Cream brulee made my taste buds thank again and again.“
“First time hearing of and eating at Mellow Mushroom. The staff is very amazing and friendly and pizza is top notch! And this is coming from a New Yorker:).The hours of operation were convenient. I was looking for a place to eat late at night and this place popped up a few block from my hotel. If I visit St Augustine again, I will definitely eat here and will eat at other Mellow Mushrooms in other states.“
“After being contacted by the company asking if I would give them another try and I did. Have to say that they meant what they said about improving on service and consistency of menu items. I still do not agree with their tipping system. A person is asked at checkout to tip before receiving their menu items. How do you know if your service will be good or if the menu item will be as expected? Lots of places do this but that doesn't make it right. Tipping is for good service. You can't tip for good service if you haven't received it yet. Other than that, I highly recommend you try Whits.“
“We stopped in for a late lunch based on reading reviews and were not disappointed. Fabulous pizza, reasonable prices and friendly service. We tasted some of their mac-n-cheese specialties [they're great by the way], but were too full to order any. Even though we are not from St. Augustine, we may need to find an excuse to drive back!“
“Stopped here by myself for a quick bite. I had the rueben dog. It was the best hot dog I ever ate in my life. All beef cooked perfectly, the bun was so soft and warm, the cheese and slaw just melted in my mouth. I only hope to get back one day for another one.“
“Came down for a bachelorette trip. Had trouble getting a reservation so I emailed and the owner got back to me within 24 hours which I appreciated! Food was amazing, I got steak frites and paired it with the glass of red that was recommended on the menu. Everyone raved about their food once we were finished. It was decorated so cute too. 10/10“
“Several choices of fresh, quality seafood cooked perfectly and served with tasty, non-common side dishes. Save room for the owner’s dessert of the day - coconut pie was a-mazing! Add in the bonuses of smiling, polite, efficient waitstaff and moderate prices and you have yourself an A+ meal!“
“Cute place, good coffee. There's a menu above the counter and a smaller handwritten one on the side where you pick up items. Just confusing. I ordered Americana coffees thinking we could help ourselves to it at the coffee bar but NO that's only drip coffee. So instead we waited 30 minutes for our coffee and food. The entire vibe is confusing and the sweet girl at the counter must learn to project her voice, very hard to communicate with her. $15.50 for a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich.“
“My husband and I enjoyed a quickly breakfast here in the morning. There are plenty of tables to sit either inside or outside. He had the House-Made Granola and a Cortadito. I had the breakfast burrito with added bacon and a Vietnamese coffee. Everything tasted good. It was nice to have the option of a warm breakfast with out have to go to a full sit down restaurant.Vegetarian options: Breakfast Burrito, House Made Granola“
“Driving up the coast of Florida, stayed overnight in St Augustine and had lunch here. Excellent choice! I had a sweet chili lime shrimp quesadilla, delicious! They also serve “Stubborn” fountain drinks, another of my favorites, well known on the west coast. The Root Beer and Agave Vanilla Creme soda are my favorites. The menu has many choices from tacos to burgers, salads and sea food choices.“
“I like this neighborhood place! I will tell you that if you stand there while they make the pizza and make sure they put on what you want (and maybe more than they were going to :)) the pizza tastes much better than if you try to pick it up or have it delivered.“
“We were in town just for a quick trip and passed by here, thinking it looked neat. I took into account the sign about it being a small kitchen and despite the # of people here, we got our food in what I would consider a timely manner. The woman up front was busting her butt to keep up and she was friendly. We got an order of pancakes and then the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with cheese grits. That was fantastic! Everything tasted great. Top pancake was a bit cold but the bottom was not. Only true complaint was cutting a huge pancake with flimsy plastic utensils feels cheap for the price. I thought the food was worth what I paid but that aspect was a bit rough.“
“Super cool vibe. We all felt like we were on vacation. The open-air patio/bar with a great band made our wait time feel like it was nothing. With that said, if you don't have time to hang out, then look into reservations for faster seating.Caesar Salad $7.99/$11.99Crisp romaine, croutons, and parmesan cheese tossed in our caesardressing.7/10. I thought it was a pretty standard Caesar, nothing fancy, but nothing wrong with it. Would order again.Peel-and-Eat Shrimp $24.991 lb. fresh shrimp seasoned with old bay. Served chilled or hotwith datil pepper cocktail sauce.7/10. This was OK. You have a choice between steamed or chilled. I went with steamed. Our table ate a few but not in love with it.Grouper Tacos $18.99Blackened, grilled or fried, with three grilled soft taco shells. Toppedwith lettuce, shredded cheese, and our Bang Bang sauce. Served witha side of our homemade pineapple mango salsa.*Mahi $1 up-charge8/10. I enjoyed this but would have liked a spicier offering like more cajun to the blackening spice. I got it fried and it came recommended by the waitress.Marley Burger $17.99Char grilled 1/2 lb. burger, seasoned with a blend of caribbeanspices, crispy onions, and jalapeños. Topped with purple cabbage, swiss cheese, and a caribbean jerk sauce.5/10. Wife did not like this. She said it was dead. I thought it was OK and seasoned better than most hamburgers by default.Drinks are a bit pricey, so maybe pre-game. I will be back. We all had a great time and would try different things.“
“Le Macaron is a must-visit spot in Saint Augustine! Their French pastries are hands down the best in town. I absolutely adore this place in downtown. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. Not to mention, their assortment of macarons is amazing!“
“It was a little loud and definitely busy but for very good reason because of how wonderful the food is. I enjoyed my meal immensely and I can't wait to go back to get more yellow rice. As well as sangria with champagne. The inside and outisde of the building are extremely architecturally beautiful. I've been wanting to come here forever and am so happy with my experience. Our server was extremely kind and I always really appreciate that (get nervous in public) in such an "energetic" restaurant it makes a difference. My dad really enjoyed it too, and he can be a bit of a grump.Parking: The parking is on St George St and is extremely limited. Chances are, you will need to pay for parking and walk to the restaurant which can be important to plan for.“
“My wife and i got our wedding cake from here and that thing was UNREAL.All our guests were talking about this for days after the event. We got to do an awesome mix of chocolate, the Floridian, coconut, and Chantilly cake. This stuff is great quality and I can’t say thank you enough!“
