“Got off the beaten path today with my wife to try St. Augustine Fish Camp for lunch. We’re really glad we did too. Everything about or visit was amazing. Seated quickly, Josh and Cody were very attentive to all or needs as were all the staff. Food was presented well, it was fresh, hot and tasted great! Well done Fish Camp!“

“Took my husband here for his birthday. We got a window seat overlooking the hangars. Some of the windows are fogges, so a little harder to see out. The atmosphere was great. Loved the ambiance of the whole place. Up front service was great. Seated quickly, water and drinks came quickly. The food service was pretty slow. Maybe understaffed? It was a Friday night. We got there pretty early before it was super busy. The food was pretty good overall. Would definitely go back for a special occasion.“

Cocktails were good. Great story about Horse Soldier Bourbon. Great bourbon selection, enjoyed craft cocktails. Food was just alright and was very expensive. Two cocktails, one app, one salad and a steak $111. Probably wouldn’t eat here again but would stop in for cocktails. No parking, wouldn’t bring kids here, wheel chair accessible.“

“Delicious! We compared DJs lobster rolls with Bar Harbor and Nova Scotia's and hands down, DJs was the best. It melts in your mouth. Large chunks of lobster and melted butter nestled in the softest roll and a side of coleslaw. Perfection!“

“What a gem St Augustine has in its’ midst! We recently visited the fine establishment after reading previous reviews and was overwhelmed by the kindness and expertise of the owner! We were novices and had never prepared blue crab before. Instead of being annoyed at our lack of knowledge, he explained at great length and in easy to understand detail, how to prepare his delicious crab in several different ways. We served up a delightful, delicious meal that evening! The seafood was exceptional! He and his small business is a real asset to the community! You won’t be disappointed!!!!“

“We dined at your new location this past Tuesday evening for the first time to celebrate my Wife’s Birthday. We were informed it would be a 30 minute wait for a table,(which was more like 20, and we enjoyed a cocktail at the bar while waiting). Our waiter was excellent (Robby) and the meal was superb. A pleasant evening for us as your the entire staff did great. My wife mentioned to me that “even the young man bussing tables has a smile on his face”. Congratulations on your new location and we will return.“

Dietary restrictions: My cousin has celiac disease and they offered us different options, thanks to which we were able to spend an incredible afternoon.

Enjoyed dining here. Casual fun atmosphere. Staff is friendly, efficient and treats you like family. The camaraderie shows and is fun to watch.

Started with delicious Conch Fritters and wine. My partner enjoyed her fried fish sandwich. My grilled Mahi sandwich was the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly.

Went 7PM on a Friday night and enjoyed sipping our wine and beer and food while listening to a live singer. Very pleasurable as we could still enjoy conversation while the singer played in the background. We sat inside but there’s outside tables under a tiki style roof closer to the singer. Outdoors is pet friendly and one couple even brought their well behaved dog. Next door is a homemade candy shop- threw in a photo of that also. ?

Overall, this was a warm, friendly fun experience with delicious food. I will be back!

“We had no prior knowledge of Blackfly. We chose it because it was close to our rental.  We smiled as soon as we walked in the side door leading to the bar area and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. The further we entered the very well decorated restaurant the more we knew we had made a good choice.  To us, the best reason to visit St. Augustine is dining at the Blackfly!  We went all out and had drinks,  appetizers, their version of Coquille St. Jacques and their Chilli lime shrimp. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection with exceptional sauces. Main course was a Chef's Special which was baked shrimps, scallops over a bed of thai noodles and a sauce to die for.  I had the bone in Pork chop cooked medium rare and it was delicious.  Blackfly has a vast selection of wines in their wine cellar and we enjoyed a nice Honig sauvignon blanc.   Kudos to Matt, our server, who throughout the evening gave us the right amount of attention and space to relax for our entire dining experience.  The food was so good and well prepared that I was compelled to go to the kitchen to thank the staff and gave a large tip for the kitchen staff . Our evening at Blackfly was the highlight of our trip.  Thank you Vaughn and staff, you have an outstanding establishment.“

The atmosphere may seem simple, but understand you're sitting in a restaurant that began as a house in 1764. The floors are older than most of our ancestries in this country. On this hallowed grounds they serve amazing wines, mashed potatoes to write home about, and a filet that is done to such perfection and personal preference, that I know they're cooked sous vide, not held too long at temp, and seared to perfection by a very deft hand. I cannot wait to return to the charm of St Augustine and, when I do, it will be this very same experience that I rush to first.“

“Stopped in today on the way back from Crescent Beach. My stomach growled while I looked at the menu and this place did not disappoint. Super friendly service from the barmaid who recommended the mahi fish tacos with black beans and rice. The soft taco was deliciously crisp/browned lightly for texture and crunch. Inside were perfectly spiced chunks of real mahi drizzled with a yummy creamy sauce. The beans and rice were also really good, a spicy yet almost sweet seasoning that definitely didn't taste box-made. I am going to return to try the bangers & mash sometime soon. I'm new to the area and felt really at ease here. Highly recommend !“

“Purple Olive was the caterer for our wedding and we could not have been happier. Peter was communicative with us leading up to the wedding day, and was always there to answer our questions. He also gave us honest input on ideas we had and how we could best make our vision work for our big day. The catering staff and bartenders were professional, friendly and helpful all throughout the wedding. We had multiple guests come up to us throughout the night and afterward to tell us how friendly they all were. Not to mention, both the food and drinks were absolutely amazing. “First time eating at Saltwater Cowboys and it did not disappoint. It has a great view and a cute outdoor area for dining. Max was our server and he was one of the best servers I’ve ever had! Super polite and helpful with menu decisions.“

“This is the only place we revisited from last year. The Baja and tropical ahi tuna tacos and the mermaid ahi tuna wrap were just too good to miss this year. The tuna is not overcooked nor over seasoned. It's perfect. The tuna flavor is remarkable! There are outside tables and the meals are served in to-go containers. The portions are plentiful. I would NEVER come to St Augustine, FL and not come here.
They even give dehydrated tuna bites as healthy dog treats. Our dog is 8 years old and this is the only dog treat she has ever eaten.
There's plenty of parking and picnic tables with umbrellas for your convenience. Plus it's roadside, on the way to the lighthouse.
You would do yourself a great disservice if you come to St Augustine Beach and not try out this food truck.“

“We have gone to La Cocina over the last 25 years at 3 locations. This is the most scenic location. The food and service, as always, was impeccable. I had the Filet, my wife the shrimp. Absolutely wonderful.“
