“I wanted to give 3 stars, but honestly their customer service makes it a 4. Everyone is extremely friendly and check on you regularly to see if you need anything. They certainly live their brand - and it shows from the workers, the ambiance, and noon national anthem. I loved the variety of bbq sauces. I opted for the NC style pulled pork sandwich. I felt like neither the coleslaw or pulled pork had much flavor. It was ok, but nothing I would crave again. I will say they didnt skimp on the meat though, and it was a decent sized sandwich. I will likely give this place another try, just because the customer service was great.“
“One of my favorite hot pot places ever - HIGHLY recommended. Their food is amazing, with a rotating conveyor belt-type offering of sides. Full buffet bar with meats and various items and seasonings. Excellent dessert with amazing ice cream! I love it here!“
“This is my 1st choice when it comes to seafood restaurants. Sadly we are a little bit far from this place but it's definitely worth the trip. When you first enter the restaurant you will be greeted and you the special will be on the left so make sure to look there because you don't want to miss the goodStuff! This place is huge, they have a bar at the back corner of the restaurant and the rest is a seating area. We've been here 4 times and I have tried their blackened shrimp and the way they seasoned their shrimp is just perfect! The steamed oyster was delicious and I can just eat that everyday! We also tried the fried gator and at first I wasn't sure but I'm so glad I tried it because it was so good! The sides that comes with the food is fries, coleslaw and hush puppies, I don't eat a lot of coleslaw but this coleslaw is great! This place is definitely worth a visit! You can tell that their seafoods are fresh and that's a must!“
“When a brand like Sonny's is clicking on all cylinders, you can't go wrong and this location is a great example! We stopped in for the tax day rib special, everything was delicious and what a great value! Just as important is that the service was spot-on, Tiana was on her A-game and took great care of us- thank you Tiana!“
“*THE* best ceviche in Jax, with three different base options — all delicious. The staff is so friendly! Locally owned and the business is super involved in the community. On my most recent visit I had the octopus special and it was almost a religious experience. Their shop has a cute rustic outdoor patio in the back, perfect on good weather days. Can’t say enough good things about Chancho King!“
“Crazy location, insanely good BBQ! I mean, inside a car dealership?? Those loaded cheese fries are delicious and the turkey sandwich had about 10 oz of turkey on it! So good. Moist, tender and juicy. Ask about their story, it’s a treat!“
“Had lunch with my sister today at the Woody's on Powers Ave. Marie my server was wonderful. She was very attentive, the food came quickly, she made sure we were happy with everything and our drinks were kept full. And as far as the food - Chef Smooth did an amazing job. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. He is an amazing pit master!!! If you are in the area stop by for the best BBQ and service you can find!!! Love me some Woody's!!!“
“Excellent smoked barbecue although know it's closed on Sundays. Missing the bakery right now but there are a few options at the end of the line. Just terrific barbecue. My employer used to order for our large office as a treat near Thanksgiving. Not at all fancy but very clean, convenient, and pretty much the best“
“The Charleston burger was fantastic-great thick burger that was prepared nicely. The fries have that crunchy coating which is delicious. A few suggestions: 1. There is no claw game and my kids saw one in the photos for the place. Silly I know, however if you have kids it's everything. Also probably a huge moneymaker so investing in one would be good because kids make you return for this type of thing 2. Don't put diced green onion on a kids pizza as garnish. My daughter loved it once we picked it off, but most kids are picky and if they want extras they'll ask for it 3. The buck game didn't work, even with dollars so again, I think this would probably be a decent way to make additional money so make sure the games work as my kids likely would have spent half my wallet I'm only giving suggestions because I really liked this place, our waitress was friendly and very attentive. The food was great and I really want us to go back again soon!“
“We purchased the San Marco platter and it was more than enough food for two people. Even though the parking lot was full, the person taking the orders was friendly and efficient! The food was delicious and we had several people come around and check to see if we needed anything while we were there. I would recommend this to anyone looking for great BBQ!“
“Recently I picked up a variety of BBQ and sides for a family dinner at my house. It was amazing! Today my son and I stopped in for "a snack" and, again, it was as good as it gets! I'm impressed and will definitely be visiting them again soon!“
“We stopped into King Maker to refresh and refuel after an afternoon of curio and vintage shopping. It was the perfect choice. King Maker Brewery had a nice amount of diverse styles on tap (I am fan of sours and was not disappointed) and the kitchen had upscaled what are often considered to be bar food standards. We tried burgers and chicken sandwiches - and enjoyed them all - but the corn bites and fried pickles are what stood out for our group. Both the bites and pickles were lightly breaded and fried perfectly. Crisp outside, molten inside. The pickle's sharp vinegar cut the oil beautifully. If I could get an order now, I would. There were a good number of options on tap ensuring something for everyone. We tried the Ziggy Salz and Sweet Caroline, and both lives up to their names. The Ziggy was salt forward, but not tongue burning, and the Sweet Caroline was not cloying. We also enjoyed their dry cider which reminded us of some of our favorite British local brews with it's crispness. The testing room itself is pleasant, clean, and decorated with the work of local artists. The staff was fun, knowledgeable, and took great care of our party. Things to know: * Even more variety to be trapped in the months to come as the brewery brings additional equipment online. * There is a beer garden if you'd prefer to sit outside. * King Maker also has an event space, which may be just what you need, or may cause some parking heartburn depending on whether it is you event or not.“
“Been here a few times and have had a great experience each time. Between the service, the drinks and the bbq, everything was wonderful. Don’t pass up on the burnt ends appetizer, they’re amazing!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with coloring sheet and crayons.“
“Holy cow!!! This place is actually so yummy! Definitely gonna be going back, and their Thai tea is delicious and not a total bank breaker, it's $5 for a big cup like they have at other places that try to charge you $8-$10 for the same amount and lower quality. Their bimbop is actually so delicious!!! Great portions, great flavors, and I love how spicy the kimchi is!!! I want to try their corn dogs next ?“
“Before diving into the electrifying energy of the Jacksonville Fall Out Boy concert, I made a pit stop at this cozy Korean restaurant. It was the perfect pre-show indulgence, treating myself to authentic flavors that left me fueled up and ready to rock the night away. With every bite, I knew I was in for a memorable evening of music and delicious food.Despite its unassuming exterior, stepping inside transports you to a world of bold flavors and pretty authentic Korean cuisine. To the first bite of perfectly seasoned kimchi, it’s clear that this place is a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered. Whether you’re craving the spicy kick of tteokbokki or the comforting warmth of a hearty bibimbap, every dish is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Korea. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is its genuine hospitality and cozy ambiance. The friendly staff go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.“
“This place is AMAZING. Hubby and I are recovering Californians and used to California sized servings so we came here and got the family meal. Boy were we shocked! Food was amazing and the price point can't be beat. Cute lil spot but sitting inside you will smell like smoke when you're done! The service is amazing and the sauces are wow“
“Always a great experience for the taste buds! We had the fatty brisket, smoked turkey, sausage, potato salad and brussel sprouts. Everything was cooked to perfection. Brisket had a rich smoky flavor. The sausage and turkey were fantastic dipped in a bit of the mustard or 06 bbq sauce. The potato salad is very different from other places, almost a cold version of German potato salad with green beans in it. Something we will definitely try to duplicate at home. Brussels were perfectly crispy. We will most certainly return.“
“I've been dining at the Southern Grill for 2 decades, and have always loved it. My hubby and I love them so much we had them cater our wedding a few years ago. The food and staff are always spot on, and we also love the live music they have several nights a week.“
“Love Charlie's Diner for breakfast! I usually get the breakfast pita or omelette with homefries. The homefries are good and crispy. My husband loves the sausage gravy and biscuits. The bacon is good and crispy too. Really attentive and friendly service... Bailey is Awesome! Highly recommend for a good country breakfast with great service.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly options including smiley face pancakes.“
“We hired Mission BBQ Orange Park to cater our wedding reception last weekend. Their service was top notch, from working with their catering coordinator, to precise on time delivery and we all know their food is amazing in the restaurant, the catering is no different! They even gave us two full pans of ribs that we didn’t even order! If you want quality food and service while taking away the worry of hiring a catering company, this is the place to call. Thanks Mission BBQ for helping make our special day enjoyable and memorable, our guests absolutely loved the food!!“
“I have eaten here a good number of times. The management and staff have always been pleasant and friendly. When I think BBQ I think of Sonny’s. The food is dependably and consistently good.Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces. I have never had to search for a spot.“
“We contacted the owner to cater the end of year luncheon for the teachers at the local high school. The teachers and staff were thoroughly impressed with their meal! They kept asking where it was from, so much that the link was posted to their website . The food was delivered hot and and on time. Will definitely be using for future engagements!“
“I like atmosphere. I have never been in South Korea, but I like it. It is like a small restaurant but at the same time you can do barbecue by yourself or make kitchen order. Service is good as well. Check can be different depends on what you like. My friends discover there beer and also nice drink is makgeolli (somebody can say it’s like a beer but it is a sparkling rice wine).“
“Our favorite and so impressed how they kept to the original recipes. We hosted my parents 50th anniversary surprise party here and Melanie and her team treated us like gold. The food was fresh and fast for our large group of 35. Everyone loved it. Liz and the wait staff were attentive and a pleasure to work with. The party was a success because of you guys! Made it so easy for us as hosts! If you're looking for a place to have a get together - they do it right!!! We will definitely be back and highly recommend to all!“
“Going to Longhorn worked out perfect for dinner out! Not gonna lie, we were trying to get to Fogo De Chão, but 1) Longhorn is closer and 2) it was almost 8pm and FDC closes at 9:30pm during the week. Longhorn closes at 10pm, so you get an extra 30 minutes. It was nice and quiet in there and we were seated right away which was great because we were HUNGRY. The waitress we had was super nice. When the apps came out, we DUG IN!!! Really yummy White Cheddar stuffed mushrooms and Wild West Shrimp! Our steaks were cooked just the way we ordered and were delicious! Even the lamb chops were cooked perfectly. And the birthday "boy" even got a free ice cream sundae!! “
“I was kind of hesitant to order this BUT When I tell you I don't regret it ! It is so freakin good ! It's creamy Mayo Sriracha with a tint of sweetness not spicy at all. It's very fulfilling I didn't eat all day and this definitely filled me up! The service was good nice and clean place. Service was pretty fast !“
“Had an awesome lunch with 2 of my work mates today. Got an amazing cheese burger with lots of hot n fresh French fries and a sweet sweet tea. Food was ready within ten minutes (we sat at the bar) and had 2 awesome and perdy waitresses that took good care of us... definitely recommend if you're in the area and want a great and nicely priced meal. My buddy got the rib sandwhich that looked amazing and he confirmed that it was.....5 big stars from me ?“
“Best BBQ in Jacksonville. Ribs were cooked perfectly, the smoked chicken salad side dish tasted great, and the baked beans were unlike any I'd ever had... almost like a dessert dish with a hint of cinnamon and apples flavor. This will definitely be one of my favorite spots when I'm in Jacksonville. The meats did not need sauce, but I tried their combined sauce (city sauce) & loved it. It was was off the charts good!“
“This place is so good! I’ve never really had Hawaiian food but the Chicken Katsu Musubi was so crispy and juicy! Got one plate with Chicken Katsu and One plate with Kaula Pork. I love the Marconi salad so rich and creamy. The staff was super nice and explained what everything was. 10/10 “
“Taste tested a rib...... it will make you slap your momma and her ancestors. best darn rib I have ever had in my 47 years . cant wait to try the chicken and collards. go check em out right next to Harold's meat market at lem Turner rd and dunn ave. DELICIOUS, NOTHING BETTER!!!!!!!!! Support the locals!!!!!“
“While visiting the Mayo for ten days, I had the privilege of eating at Bono's. After surgery, it was my go-to spot for lunch and/or supper! I tried everything in those 10 days, I can honestly say it was some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time. Even better, all of their sides were great! Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the many types of sauces they had to offer. My father liked it just as much as me, and we loved that our plates fed us for more than one meal. If your in the area looking for a place to eat, just go ahead and stop looking, eat here!“
“Wow!!! I've had my eye on this place since they first opened but didn't have a chance to visit until today. I was extremely impressed by how clean and professional it felt inside, and service was quick and friendly. I ordered the fish bites with green beans and mac & cheese; planned to take a photo but I couldn't stop myself before digging in! Everything was fresh and delicious, great portions, reasonably priced - all the hallmarks of a great food joint. :) I could easily see this place being great for family meals too. Will 100% be returning in the future to check out the rest of their menu, and in the meantime recommending to everyone I can!“
“Great food, especially the Brunswick stew, made the way my grandmother made it. The restaurant is very clean and inviting, employees are friendly, helpful, pulled pork sandwich was awesome, very thick , and way over the top ,corn nuggets are great ,“
“This food buss I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas and a side of sweet plantain. The plantain was perfectly cooked, and the chicken delicious as well as the rice. Even the cabbage on the side was a great way to reset the palate. Great food. They also have good lunch specials. Check this place out.“
“This was such a wholesome experience! Everyone working here was very helpful and patient with me as it was my first time! The ribs and chicken wings were to die for! Lets not get me started on the sweet and tangy sauce!!! Thank you so much!!!“
“First, a few facts (as far as I know): (1) take-out only (2) wings and legs (thigh and drum) are the only options (3) sauce options are ketchup + hot sauce, BBQ sauce (and honey mustard?), or no sauce (4) cash onlyWith that out of the way - food was great and staff was super friendly. The wings are "wet" style slathered in sauce so it's not the breaded crunchy style if that's what you're looking for. Same with the "fries" - they're hand-cut potato strings slathered in sauce and not the frozen stuff I was expecting, but it turns out super delicious. Fried okra was pretty good too. Everything's as close to homemade as you can get.Parking right up front or on the side streets. Food was made very quick. Prices are very affordable considering everything else these days. Definitely worth a stop!“
“It’s our first time at Autobahn and we loved every minute of it! From the quick registration, to the lovely Megan serving us drinks from the bar, and especially Chandler, our AXE THROWING coach, she was very knowledgeable and super fun!!! We will most definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Such great food! Everything was absolutely delicious!!!! Donna our wonderful server was so nice!!!!! The food came out super quick! Very impressed!Kid-friendliness: Kid menu is wonderful!!! My 5 year old ordered all by himself and enjoyed the kids ribs very much.“
“Came here for lunch on a early Friday afternoon, place wasn't busy, but there was a small wait at the front (about 5 mins) because the hostess was there at the time. When we were seated, Gage serviced us as well as managed the bar. He was very sweet, informative, courteous, and handled both the bar customers & that side of the dining table in a very efficient & quick way. I had the chicken sandwich & potato soup. The sandwich was good, but the soup didn't, it was bland in taste & watery. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. The lunch menu was decent in different options to choose from. Overall, good place to go for lunch. It's in the plaza where Walmart is at the intersection on Atlantic Blvd and Kernan Blvd.“
“The curly fries were a pleasant surprise really good going bk today. We had a colorful conversation about brisket expectations but overall the flavors were there and it was really fresh which I appreciated and the owner was very receptive and friendly?“
“The food was a big banger, the service was friendly and wonderful. Loretta was great and kept checking up on me even though you pay up front. Loved the friendliness of the environment and the whole team was wonderful. Highly recommend coming here specially as a tourist like myself!“
“My friend and I ate a late lunch today at Bono's, we both got the Hawg Sandwich Special, mine was turkey with fries and a corn on the cob. Also an order of fried okra and we both had iced tea,all the food was good, but the service was excellent. Our waitress, Vivian was so nice and polite, she told us all the specials and kept our tea glasses full and extra napkins on the table, she's a "keeper"!Parking: Two handicap parking spaces near the rear door, easy access to the rear entrance,“
“The ambience was great with the decor and many photo options. Drinks were great and not weak. Food was decent, oysters were good but my Mac & cheese was barely heated. Service was a bit slow for the lackmof crowd. We had to wave the waiter down to order our 2nd drink and entrees. Checks are not printed and on the little machine, and the waiter gives it to you at the tip screen but fails to tell you that gratuity is already included in the price causing everyone in your party to tip about 40% each thinking you won't notice. The waiter claimed it was on their digital menu after one of us asked for a printed receipt and was able to see there that the gratuity was already added. We looked all over the digital menu and around the restaurant and we could not find anything posted about it. Of course the manager was gone for the evening and all we could do is leave our names and numbers to have them call the following day to get the bills updated correctly. We definitely felt as the waiter waa taking advantage of us ladies thinking because we had a few drinks and we didn't get printed out checks that he would scam us out of more tip money when we were all going to tip 20% of our bills. Bad service like this is what ruins experiences and attending more events at this location when we would love to again.“
“My first time trying this place it was a game changer the pulled pork was fabulous and the mac and cheese is homemade they give you generously portions and it's all delicious I will be going back again goodbye bono's I'm hooked“
“I don’t understand how this place has only 4.3 star reviews. I have ordered many times and food has been great and service has been fine. Michael is professional and friendly. Orders were correct and within the promised pick up time. I normally order few times before writing a review. Want to be as fair as possible. I’ll keep ordering pickup from this place.Thank you“
“Excellent food, we really enjoyed it.We both had the petite filet mignon, lobster and shrimp bisque. The soup was perfectly flavored, the shrimp and lobster were delicious and not overcooked. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, inside was medium rare and the broiled Brussels Sprouts had a light sauce on them that really brought out the flavor, rather than covering it up as with a cheese sauce.Service was prompt. We ate in the bar and the bar tender was attentive and friendly. The sangrias were also wonderful.“
“Hanging out at Underbelly for a whiskey event my husband likes going to. I had the smoked turkey sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese and he had a smoked brisket sandwich. This was some of the best smoked turkey I've ever had honestly. FULL of smokey flavor and spices as well as moist. They paired a sweet BBQ and their coleslaw and a house made pickle with it. I tossed both the sauce and coleslaw on the sandwich and I wish I had room for a second because MAN, was it good. Mac and cheese was creamy and thick. Full of a ooey gooey goodness and jam packed with flavor. I LOVED MY MEAL.Hubby was really impressed with his brisket sandwich. It was paired with a horseradish based sauce and the coleslaw, and he normally is not a fan of horseradish, but enjoyed this a lot.I've eaten here a few times in the past while attending a concert so I've never reviewed or shared here. It's dark in here at night during shows. LOL, but each time I've ate here I've had something different that really hit the spot. All of their meats are smoked on sight and if I had to recommend trying anything from their normal, daily menu, it'd be their version of a Chicago Dog made with their housemade sausage. Chicogans beware, it's not a "ReAl ChIcAgO DoG" so just full stop on that.If you're ever in the downtown area they are located on Bay Street (backside of the Florida Theater). I highly recommend trying them out for some good ol' BBQ.“
“Great service delicious food very clean place and everybody has a smile on their face that atmosphere is unbelievable everybody come to Southside Boulevard and avenues right here by the Avenues Bono's off of Phillips Highway it is the best Bono's in “
“Went here Sunday for Lunch. Food was good but not great. I got the bulgogi and just a little disappointed especially with the price since it was $24.99 and it came with the bulgogi and steamed rice, for me it was a little bit overpriced especially for lunch menu. but the service was good! there were 2 ladies and I know she speaks fluent Korean which was very cool!“
“It was our first time here. My wife got the jerk chicken with beans and collared greens and I got the rib platter and the Florida fries and this is some of the best BBQ we've ever had! The ribs were super tender and the meat fell off the bones. We will most definitely be returning!!“
