From helping each one with their order to Doggy Bags To-go. We had 9 guest visiting. The shake machine was down initially but as soon as it was up, a staff member made sure everyone got their order in and delivered. One gentleman sat at the bar with his beer and the bartender. Wine was enjoyed with the Porta Bello and oh my the loaded tater tots! Burgers were cooked to perfection. And trust me...I work with a very picky crowd! Above all... Royce was such a gentleman and extremely attentive to all of my sweet people. They all raved about our visit all the way home. “This is my daughter and I's go-to take-out Chinese spot and it's worth it every time to make the 25 minute drive from our house! You can see the woks in the kitchen as you approach the counter and they make everything to-order. And the food is always piping hot and consistently fresh every time. My daughter and I always dine in. I tell people that it is a solid, straightforward Chinese takeout place where the food comes out in a timely manner and is fresh and hot. Aesthetics are definitely not their priority, and I really could care less about that as long as it's clean… And this place is very clean. The restaurant is a family run business-grandma included- and sometimes you can see their children either helping out or killing time on their tablets at one of the tables. And the family is so sweet! In my last visit, I took my daughter as well as a couple other kids who were friends with my daughter. They didn't have enough water bottles that were cold, and sent one of their kids with cups to go get ice so we had some ice water. Because the place is small and no-frills, I get concerned about their ability to stay in business. I really hope more people patronize them and give them a chance. You can't beat good people and good food and a straightforward business.”

“I love finding hidden gems, and Jonis Pizza was exactly that.

Susan and I were heading to one of our favorite restaurants, Fionn MacCool's, when we noticed Jonis Pizza tucked away in the same shopping center. Somehow, despite being in the area many times, we had never stopped in. That changed this week, and I am glad it did.

The restaurant is cozy, family-owned, and immediately feels welcoming. The aroma of garlic and fresh Italian cooking hits you as soon as you walk through the door. We started with the Garlic Cheese Bread, which was perfectly toasted and loaded with flavor. We also enjoyed the Fresh Mozzarella Appetizer, featuring fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and pesto that allowed the ingredients to shine.

As someone who grew up in a large Italian family in New York, I take Italian food seriously. When I saw Stuffed Shells on the menu, I knew exactly what I was ordering.

What happened next surprised me.

The Stuffed Shells at Jonis Pizza earned our prestigious Best of the Best Award. The shells were filled with a rich blend of cheeses and topped with a perfectly balanced sauce. The waitress explained that her mother makes them from scratch, and it showed. The dish immediately brought back memories of a favorite Italian restaurant from my childhood in the Bronx. For decades, no stuffed shells had matched those memories. Jonis Pizza finally did.

Susan ordered the Chicken Francese, and it was equally impressive. Tender chicken, perfectly prepared angel hair pasta, and plenty of flavorful lemon sauce made this a standout entrée.

The service was warm, friendly, and personal. You can tell this is a restaurant that takes pride in both its food and its customers.

“It is hard to know where to start. My family has celebrated many special occasions at Ruth’s Chris in Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville over the years, but tonight’s experience was truly exceptional.

We came to the Ponte Vedra location to celebrate my father’s 86th birthday. It is his favorite restaurant, and the entire staff made the evening feel special. The service was impeccable, and as always, the food was delicious.

A couple of dishes did not initially come out exactly as ordered. It happens, and all any guest could ask is that they be corrected. The staff took care of everything promptly, but then the manager, Brian, did something completely unexpected. He came to our table and told us dinner was on them.

It was an incredibly generous gesture, especially from a restaurant of this caliber, and something I have never experienced before. Perhaps Brian did it because he understood how important the evening was to our family, or perhaps this is simply how he takes care of his guests. Either way, it left a lasting impression on all of us.

As we were leaving, staff members throughout the restaurant wished my father a happy birthday. Everyone treated him like a king and made his 86th birthday one we will always remember.

Brian and the team went far beyond what was necessary. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness, generosity and exceptional hospitality.”
