We dined at 13 Gypsies after trying to walk in a couple of times on spontaneous visits. So glad we finally were able to plan ahead and secure a reservation.
We had the ricotta with smoked honey, the house made chorizo, the shrimp and the zanahorias. I everything was delicious and the service was excellent.

This small, charming restaurant in Riverside serves the best tapas in town. Standout dishes include the rich and flavorful Mushrooms Seville, the fresh tomato herb salad, and the highly recommended "tres leches" dessert, which many consider the best in town. Spaghetti Assassine offers a spicy kick, and the service is genuine and warm. Guests have enjoyed the beef, chorizo, cauliflower, and carrots, with the "zanahorias" being surprisingly flavorful. The NA sangria is noted to be tasty as well. While the inside can be quite noisy, the outdoor seating provides a pleasant atmosphere, especially during sunset. The staff, including a friendly server, is helpful and attentive. The restaurant is known for accommodating guests and clearly communicating about food availability, so making reservations early is advised to avoid missing special dishes. The quality and taste of the food are outstanding, with small plates that encourage ordering several dishes to enjoy a full meal. The mushroom risotto has been praised as one of the best ever, and other favorites include Mongolian beef, ricotta cheese with bread, and pork belly. The bread is good but not peasant bread, and the NA sangria remains tasty. Guests appreciate the friendly, helpful service and the outdoor seating which adds a sunset bonus to the experience.
