I went there about 4:30 in the evening. They did have a pretty big buffet but it's not as good as the old Golden corral. The food was flavorless. I did enjoy the salad bar and the boiled shrimp which actually had flavor. No soft serve ice cream machine. They do have ice cream bars and cups you can grab them and a huge dessert bar.
My sister and I was looking for a buffet alternative to Golden Corral and Google suggested Chow's and we're so glad they did. The food choices were massive from Asian inspired to down home country cooking. And it was all delicious. The staff was exceptional (especially our waitress, sorry I didn't get her name). This place is really good, greeted nicely and seated promptly. Quiet, food was fresh and hot. My ice cream was cold. Quite a few options ranging from honey chicken and pot stickers to steak and fried chicken and catfish! Only missing a sushi bar.
