We were in the mood for a South American restaurant and someone suggested here.Walking in we felt like the food was going to be fire as it gave off an atmosphere of home cooking and the "gathering house" where everyone goes to eat. I enjoyed seeing Peruvian culture being repped on all the walls. I had to Google some of the geoglyphs like the monkey one because it was cause for a great debate at our table. The place is beautiful but the food is just ok. Ordered papa a la huancaina first, which was pretty nice and simple, but then came the queso con choclo which was literally just the corn cobs next to a block of feta cheese. I was at least expecting it to be off the cob and in a bowl, especially for $8! My entree was the aji de gallina, which was also nice. Pisco used to be our favorite restaurant to eat when we are in town. After tonight’s meal this is changing! seafood was chewy. Huancaina was off (like eating it today was a far push!) and my cau cau was salty… kitchen staff tried it ; from my plate and told me it wasn’t. Sent out the same dish just less spicy.
