1928 Cuban Bistro - Ortega

Everything I have had here is amazing, great food with amazing service!!

The coffee was sour, it tasted old and stale, or it could have been under extracted. What really surprised me were the water stains on the walls and what looked like white dust on their black ceiling above our seating. Overall the service and quality has diminished since their opening. Here's some food for thought, you don't get water with your food anymore like before, and the portions have gotten much smaller for the same price. Also, coffee is served in a cup without a small plate or spoon to stir, and everyone is in a hurry. It's those little things that matter to me. And forget asking for wifi, they have a guest password, but when you ask to access their wifi they tell you they can't grant you access because nobody knows the paasword. It's a frusterating place to eat and feel appreciated. If you're looking for a premier Cuban Cafe there are others in Fernandina Beach to choose from. I'd recommend shopping around. This place has diminished in many ways.

Second time eating at this franchise.first time Cuban sandwich was not even remotely close to a true cuban ,this time I got a streak sandwich Meat and vegetables taste stale and old chimichuri tasted bad the potatoes not fresh. 14 for a sandwich with no fries and not appetizing I left felling empty and disappointed. not even true cuban bread....who eats here must not know cuban...I doubt the owners are cuban....it's like the Taco Bell of cuban food.i won't spend another dollar there

The spicy Cuban was incredible! Best Cuban in Jax! They have many options and a lot of desserts that are delicious! The staff is very friendly too!

Tried the Papas Rellenas and tasted like it was made with instant mashed potatoes..absolutely zero flavor in the filling..ordered a beef empanda..was given wrong one..ordered a coffee, got our food and no coffee but it wasnt on the receipt so maybe she didn't hear it...brought our stuff out and waited 10 more minutes for our quesofrito..zero customer service or personality

Super good Cuban food and atmosphere. Raul and the staff are very friendly and provide great service. 1928 is our new favorite place to eat taking turns between Ortega and Fleming Island locations. Thank you 👍

Went for lunch and had such a great experience today! Staff was so nice, food was SO reasonably priced and delicious, and super cute inside! Got the Medianoche and the sweet bread is soooo good!!!

It was an awesome treat this morning. I had the complete with a dirty chai. The food was perfect, delicious and comforting. The music makes you want to get up and dance or just sway in your seat. Love this place! Great customer service.
