I’d say pretty underwhelming, but for the price and hassle, it was pretty bad. The Croquetas were very soggy and the avocado was incredibly underripe. I ordered one thing on the phone, and when I arrived they told me it wasn’t available, so I had to make a new order of a different item. The cashier cut me off while I was ordering to ask my name (which she didn’t even call, so what was the point) and rush to payment, so they didn’t get that I didn’t want cheese. Then she said that it “didn’t say it on the ticket”, which she wrote, not me, so I don’t get what she thought that changed. So after three attempts, they finally got me an order that was pretty poor quality. Looks nice, but just was not worth the hassle or $14 for a pretty small sandwich. There are a lot of better Cuban options in this city.

Highly recommend the pollo a la plancha and braised chicken rice plates. The cuban sandwich is also excellent. The staff are friendly and kind.
It was OK, Not bad but nothing outstanding to recommend.

1928 Bistro's coffee cart was a huge hit at our wedding! Not only did it provide a much-needed caffeine boost for our guests, but it also added a charming and unique touch to our reception. The coffee was expertly brewed and absolutely delicious, and the baristas were friendly and accommodating. The cart itself was beautifully decorated and fit perfectly with our wedding aesthetic. Our guests loved being able to customize their coffee orders with a variety of syrups and toppings. Having the 1928 Bistro coffee cart at our wedding was a wonderful experience, and we're so grateful for their exceptional service and delicious coffee!

Very clean and casual environment. Love coming in here for a cafecito (espresso) and an empanada. The wraps are some of the best in town as well. Service is always very friendly!

Great food. Warning: don’t ever come when busy. Nobody in the restaurant seemed to get the right food, let alone any food timely. Ordered a Cuban sandwich, tostones, and an empanada. Got an empanada, yucca fries and mystery entree. Took 30+ minutes and all they got right was the empanada they had to grab out of the

Place is delicious. Had The Cuban sandwich, hands down the best in town so far! And the service was amazing! And was told they were opening up 4 more locations, so kudos to them!
So glad we decided to just take a little drive around and found this place. Probably one of the best Cubans I've ever had. Amazing customer service, clean and welcoming little Cafe. If you like chocolate, don't stop yourself from grabbing a Nutella tres leches. Absolutely delicious.

The Croquetas were delicious and I got Piry’s Croquestas Preparada. So good and filling! Over all I enjoyed the food and the sauce for the croquetas to be dipped in.

Friendly counter service. I ordered the chicken soup. The chicken was tender and plentiful in a soup perfectly seasoned. I enjoyed the meal and felt good after eating. The music is modern pop above medium volume here. That's okay, just be aware, that is the ambience. They have a great coffee machine here, they can make all kinds. I enjoyed one. Delicious!

My first visit was a few weeks ago. The staff was really nice. The Picadillo was the best I've had anywhere, and I've had it at several restaurants in the past. The meal put a smile on my face and warmed my soul. The side salad was really flavorful. The coffee was good.I will definitely return to try other items. This place might become my favorite restaurant since relocating back to Jacksonville.
