Annie Ru's Carryout and Catering

Everything was good but Mac and cheese is terrible like the worst. Even little kids hated it. Just please find new recipe dont skimp on ingredients and please dont use canned cheese.

I normally would do bad reviews but today hunni hm let me say this first Annie Ru’s restaurant is my favorite restaurant when I got taste for good soul food been going there for years my mom and brother and my bestie use to work there turned me on to this restaurant. Never had a bad experience with them for was always great when the grandson or the manager not sure who he is but know he’s related to the family business tall dark slim guy that always has a smile on his face always greeting customers as they walk in and he makes sure customers satisfaction, today 7/6/2025 he was not there I wish he was because he keeps that restaurant together from the cooks staff to the server staff runs smoothly because today me and my husband came and ordered food I had chitterlings tray with Mac and cheese and collard greens my husband had chicken tray with Mac cheese and greens as well. The greens were horrible very salty chitterlings was also horrible can’t explain what the taste was it was not the normal chitterlings couldn’t eat that $34 went down the drain due to poor food service it was very hot inside and maybe the cooks didn’t want to cook lazy cooking but I hope they do better I and my husband will not be going back for a while till some changes are made line wait was 30-40 mins that’s not normal either.

Best hidden gem in Duval. Food /service/ atmosphere was super pleasant that I stayed and ate my meal with my child. Will definitely be a regular and would love to give Annie Rue her flowers 💐

Great Customer Service.

The chicken was well seasoned and cooked. The greens were cooked well, but lacked seasoning. The candied yams tasted like they came from a can. The Mac and cheese had no flavor. The peach cobbler was not good it tasted old.

I just ordered through Instacart Turkey wing platter, greens and seafood dressing. Baked Chicken, Macaroni and cheese, yams. The greens were the 1st thing that I noticed! They were burnt! The food doesn't seem to be the same! What happened to the Love?! Where's the Mother/Owner?! This is the worse experience that I've ever had, I used to Love Annie Ru's

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Annie Ru’s restaurant, and I can honestly say it was a truly special experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warmth and welcoming atmosphere that reminded me so much of my grandmother Carrie’s home in Alabama. The soul food was absolutely divine, bringing back cherished memories of family gatherings and home-cooked meals. Every bite was full of love, just like the dishes my grandmother used to make.

The atmosphere was nothing short of heaven-sent, and it felt like a place where you could truly relax and enjoy your meal in peace. CJ, the owner's son, went above and beyond to make sure every customer felt at home. His humble and compassionate nature was evident in the way he checked on everyone, ensuring we had everything we needed.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that exudes the kind of love and anointing that Annie Ru’s does—from the moment you step through the door, you can feel it. I will absolutely be returning again and again. May God continue to watch over you all and bless your beautiful business.

I love good food I can taste the love and detail, from the rice to the oxtails everything is so fresh and good like auntie and grandma use to make ......the delicious cakes oh so good ...brings back memories

This place is truly a gem. The food was amazing and the service was just as amazing. People were friendly and helpful about means items. I was able to get a sample of the seafood dressing before choosing it as one of my sides. It’s a little far from where I live buts it well worth the drive.

Didn't dine, specifically went in search of chitterlings and found them! Tender and tasty! Every Wednesday and Sunday! Great service, welcoming atmosphere. Looking forward to my next visit.

The food used to be very good. They have slipped tremendously. I ordered two pork chops dinners and all the pork chops were bland (no seasoning at all). The greens taste like straight vinegar. Rice very bland Anna the seafood dressing could’ve been much better. I give them really a negative one.
