Baba’s Halal

If you are a fan of Mediterranean, Middle eastern, Mediterranean, or Indian food you WILL NOT LIKE THIS FOOD. Idk what type of food they are supposed to be, but it’s not good. The staff was super nice and polite, but the food does not taste good or authentic. Tasted more like bad Indian food seasonings and flavor. My wife and I both had a horrible stomachache afterwards. I would not recommend.

They have one of the best burgers I've ever had. The seasoned fries are also top tier. Highly Recommend if you love a great cheeseburger!!

Not bad at all, very comparable to NYC. Prices are up there but they don’t skimp on the meat. Probably my favorite food spot inside the mall!

The flavor was exactly what I wanted after eating bland and fast food recently. The rice and chicken had adequate amount of spices. It was fresh and seems to have included high quality ingredients. The service was fast and the price just right. I would highly recommend this place

09/28/2025: Got tired of eating the same stuff in the food court and decided to try this place out. Not bad. For the chicken and lamb mix at $13, priced kinda high and with a drink...about $16. She asked if we wanted tzaiki sauce on it and we said yes. She went carried away with the sauce. Covered the whole thing with white sauce. Not impressed. When you have to cover food with sauce, you're just trying to hide up something in your own dish. When I used to work in the food industry, if you had leftover food from the day before that is safe to resell, the flavor is off and you cover it with sauce so the customer doesn't know. It didnt feel right when she did that. Probably will try it again in the future.

I always get babas salad with white sauce and chicken and it is so good. Everything is fresh and crisp and delicious. My kids love the lamb platter with rice. The food is phenomenal. And the service is always outstanding. They are always smiling and kind and fast. Love love love this place. Truly a hidden gem.

Absolutely WOW. I got the lamb platter and split it with my boyfriend. Enough to feed 2 people with drinks for 20$ OR LESS. Amazingly friendly staff and I can’t even begin to tell you how fresh and delicious my food was. Totally will come back. 🫶🫶 (I got the white sauce on top super nice sort of light like a tziki sauce almost)

The chicken platter is so good! It reminds me of the halal food truck food I would get in NYC and jersey. I would have given 5 stars but when you ask for extra sauce on the side they don’t fill up the cup even though you have to pay for it.

I used to go daily to babas as a new york transport that lives in Jacksonville. The mean was authentic till they changed their sauces. Their hot sauce changed, I tasted chipotle, and has changed my perception on this venue. Please bring back your original sauce, your original staff, and I will return in a heartbeat.

I’m glad there is finally a Halal place with authentic FLAVOR!!! Delicious tender meat!! The man behind the counter gave me some samples of the meat and I was sold immediately 🙏🏼✌🏼✨Nice staff, attentive and friendly. The lamb and chicken are perfect in the mixed platter. I’m new to consuming lamb, it is incredibly good, just a little rich for me. Taste like tender sausage, just not as fatty or heavy. The flavor here is dead on 😋😋😋Next time will just get the chicken platter ✨I took one star away since majority of the platter is basmati rice and only a little bit of salad, but they give you a ton of protein/meat which is a plus, not negative 😋✨✌🏼Plus, a side of tzatziki sauce is .50 and they didn’t fill up my sauce container all the way even tho I paid for it. (Pictured below when I got home with my food) Love the food, pls fill up the extra side of sauce containers all the way pls ✨🥙🧆♥️ Will definitely be back to get a gyro !!!
