My boyfriend had breakfast (Eggs on the Bayou) and I had lunch (smothered porkchops on mashed potatoes and okra/tomatoes). Both dishes were very good! And they do serve breakfast and lunch at the same time.
Let's talk about this hidden gem! I've lived in the area for 8 years and never noticed this diner. Today my world changed, I have a new favorite lunch spot.
I walked in with no expectations, it's 2025 and no one really wants to work and are miserable when they do. So imagine my surprise when a nice young man greeted me, sat me, and got my drink swiftly. Each time my husband and I go, we are never disappointed!
The staff is amazing! They each are on top of their game and seldom is there ever a long wait to be greeted, seated, or served. If there happens to be a wait, they are spot on as far as the wait time, too!
The presentation of food is always beautiful… even if ‘just a sandwich!’ The condiments always seem to be full. Straws...
