Pros: When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and seated (though we didn’t have a reservation, which the hostess asked us about). As for the atmosphere, it’s a pretty intimate and chill vibe with good music. The food came out hot and fast. My husband ordered a Smash Burger and I got a Fried Green Tomato Sandwich (which I’ve never had, but the sauce made it taste even more amazing). Our waitress was attentive (though she was juggling bartending AND waitressing), and the bus person was equally polite and focused. For the amount of food we got, the price wasn’t bad.

Vegetarian options: French fries, curry, and the Fried Green Tomato Sandwich are all Veg.

This place is amazing! The owners are friendly and very approachable, with charismatic personalities. The poutine fries are delicious with the perfect blend of cheese, steak, gravy and spices. Madeline was an absolute joy, and as our bar tender made sure we had everything we needed. The vibe is a modern home town feel that anyone can enjoy.

The waitress was nice BUT she was the bartender as well and the drinks she made were horrible 🤧 passion fruit something and lavendar something. We tried again after the passion fruit but they were equally horrible..We could barely stomach them both . I also got a medium steak was too tough for my liking BUT the brussel sprouts were good. 👍🏾

Second year in a row we've spent New Years here for dinner. Last year was better..... food was better, service was friendlier and more attentive. This year the steak fritte was too fatty, some of thr cocktails should be removed from the menu, and they need to find a place to put small or young families. If you go out for a nice dinner on New Years you don't want to here a 3 year old screaming all evening.
It's clean, affordable and still a nice addition to downtown Jax.

I had the fiji apple and goat cheese salad, and added the vegan fried chicken to it. The combination was fantastic! I also asked for a dipping sauce with the vegan chicken and they got me an awesome soy based and another which was gochuchanj based. Would love to visit again and try more dishes!

5 stars ALL DAY LONG! We frequent Bellwether (we should probably join their VIP membership) particularly for their happy hour menu and smash burger and fries. We actually came on this date specifically for that reason. We also recommend the bee knees as a cocktail, but really any of their hand crafted cocktails are a WINNER. We always love how creative they’ve made their menu, but with a nod to traditional favs. We say YES, give them a try!
Parking: Parking garages are found right on Forsyth and Laura streets. There is also available free street parking. The restaurant is located beside Visit the Jacksonville office.

Food, drinks and service were top tier, and it was HH. Dusty Boots, Caesar Salads and split a fried green tomato sandwich w fries. Ask for the smoked Duke’s mayo, it’s so good.
