Best Taste Jamaican and American Restaurant

I ordered the brown stew chicken and oxtails, but my first surprise was the choice of sides considering this restaurant is labeled as Jamaican. The brown stew and oxtails both tasted as if they were made with barbecue sauce. The collard greens tasted canned, and the sweet potatoes looked undercooked. Overall, I was hoping for a better experience.

The food was sub par. Cabbage was over cooked. Mac n cheese looked and tasted from a box. I ordered a large and got 4 little pieces of oxtails. The peach cobbler i think that's what it was supposed to be wasn't completely cooked. Very disappointing

Not even open at 9:38 am on a Friday.

Cabbage smelt old tasted vinegary, Mac and cheese had sugar in it, oxtails had sugar in it, red snapper was ok , peas and rice was ok , yams was hard, called and asked did they put sugar in everything was told that’s what they do, for 55 dollars I would’ve waited for fresh food with no sugar , Balla’s on Palmdale st. please help this restaurant with some tips

Horrible, no one at the house ate their food as it was old. This food should not have been offered or sold. I'm going to bed hungry now because of this. Only rated as one star as I could not put anything lower. Not sure if I will be sick in the morning after tasting this trash.

Very nice people and the service was excellent but I have to be honest .. first the address is wrong on Google so I had to drive to the right location after contacting them twice .. Food is already prepared which isn’t a problem if you can do it right but unfortunately some things can’t be pre prepared if you’re not busy .. like fried chicken .. it was dry and you can tell it was sitting in a oven warming for hours.. it had that stringy tough feel to the chicken .. not juicy and crispy AT ALL… Collard greens should never in life be sweet .. taste like they put some type of sweetener in it .. terrible .. as you see in the picture the macaroni literally has no cheese in on it around it .. STRAIGHT NOODLES …cornbread is cake not cornbread … Smh … I love my people but we got to do better and stop tryna cut corners so it RIGHT THE FIRST TIME .. for $13 TOTAL it’s not the end of the world and I’ll be back if I’m in desperate need and can’t find anything else open but I definitely won’t be ordering no more chicken , Mac n cheese or collard greens ..

The food is absolutely disgusting the oxtails was sweet. WHYY just why?? The collard greens was dry as a desert and sweet. The Mac DRY asf I wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYBODY I wouldn’t even feed this to a dog. if I could give ZERO stars I absolutely would, might I add the oxtails is nothing but fat no meat in sight

i went because the name says “best taste” & the food was horrible. please take this as an opportunity to have the chef tweak their recipe. that was not curry goat, it did not even have the curry color. the mac n cheese was horrible. the greens were kind of okay, but I was hungry. the yams were horrible.

Not authentic Jamaican food. Cornbread is nasty, oxtail nasty, curry chicken is just ok. And they over charge for food and drink prices

DoorDash order food was AMAZING!! Everything had so much flavor loved every bite! Jerk chicken, greens, Mac, yellow rice & cabbage. Will not disappoint! If you can’t handle flavor go to Panera..

I was in Jacksonville today and I stopped by after work just to get something quick to eat and I’ll say this never again in my life will I stop by here the curry chicken tasted sweet and the greens were bland and why was the ting drink $3.19 😒 the only thing that was okay was the rice I wish I would have taken a picture of the food it was so nasty that I threw it away when I got home

Horrible, I wouldn't recommend nobody eat there I never in my life ate sweet oxtails and tasted the blandest macaroni because the cheese didn't make it to the noodles
