Man oh man!! This was the best Jamaican food I’ve had in a LONG time. I ordered the Oxtail plate with candied yams and cabbage with rice & peas. The oxtail were cooked to perfection; perfectly tender just the way I like. And don’t get me started on the gravy!! Chefs kiss! My gf ordered the veggie plate because she is vegetarian (obviously). The Mac and cheese was delicious and you can tell love was put in it, but let me tell yall about them GREEEENS!!! Baby, don’t leave...
It’s was decent...7/10. It’s not that bad that everyone is making it out to be. It’s the type of food that if you’re tired of fast food, but want a home cooked meal thats “okay”. The beef stew tasted a tingle on the sweeter side. Usually I expected my meat to be on the savory/salty side but almost like BBQ/ teriyaki sweet...very very subtle. The only redeeming quality it’s the big portion size…which at $20-25 a plate it better be. I think if they cooked the meat...
After leaving the post office and seeing the traffic heading towards i95-, I decided to stop at this spot when a big sign said "Jamaican Food".. I'm so glad I did... Stew Beef is "tender" (my teeth is loving it) and wonderfully seasoned, absolutely delicious... The collard greens are FRESH, tender, perfectly seasoned... The steamed cabbage bursting with flavor... Oh and I rinsed my mouth with sweet 🍋 lemonade... I will definitely be back here when...
