Stopped in today for an early lunch with a friend at his recommendation. Upon our arrival, the place was deserted and stayed that way throughout the time we were there. So much so, the staff were seated at tables in the dining room on their phones. This counter service restaurant is located in a small strip mall at the intersection of Dunn Ave and Biscayne Boulevard in Jacksonville's northside. Despite being bored, the staff were friendly, attentive and courteous. You order at the counter and the a member of the staff brings it to you. I ordered a lunch turkey platter with collared greens, green beans and I added a side of Brunswick stew. My friend ordered the pulled pork platter with corn nuggets and baked beans. Both plates also come with Texas toast. While my turkey was well smoked and the house sweet barbecue sauce was good (the portion was a good amount also). However, the sides were not great - the Brunswick stew was flavorful but the green beans and collared greens were flavorless. My friend did not complain about his meal but I will say his baked beans looked straight out of a can. Not really on my normal route or haunts for food but if it was, I don't know that I would go back.

this place is terrible , it's bland and has no seasoning whatsoever. it looks horrible in the pictures and is honestly disturbing that they would serve this type of food to customers. the meat has an old two-day taste and you can taste it being microwaved very dry , the customer service sucks except for this one young lady named ciara. she's literally the best worker out of them all and she's really nice . overall one star review , the macaroni is not macaroning its disgusting , bland , unseasoned and taste like hotdog water . i seen rat turds on the counter and on the kitchen floor !! i don't know how health inspection hasn't shut this shit down cause it is horrifying to even look at . my siblings started throwing up 30 minutes after consuming this nasty food !!

Dry brisket, flavorless collard greens and baked beans that are worse than what comes out of most cans. I went there with high hopes, I spent $58 and I am dissatisfied completely, great atmosphere somewhat friendly staff and it looked like a decent barbecue joint but it was most definitely not maybe it was an off day for them but I wouldn't return.

Nevermind the nasty dry overcooked food, the service was horrible. They sent an order of two kids meals, then the manager argued saying that it didn't matter that the menu was wrong and didn't indicate kids meal...it was our fault. The food was cold and the manager tried to convince my wife and I that we had underpaid the restaurant...and overpaid Uber.
Food is really good. Customer service is not good at all. They doing me a favor existing apparently.
