Everyone there treated my cousin and I like regulars! Fantastic food and so apologetic for the wait. I enjoyed the time I got to spend socializing with my cousin. I loved the American flag and patriotic southern atmosphere. The burger was big and the bacon was crunchy, with delicious sautéed mushrooms on it!
I had heard that Bill’s Diner had the best chicken and dumplings in Jacksonville, so I called the day before to verify they still served them on Fridays. I talked with a very nice, friendly lady named Lorran and asked if they were as good as I’ve heard. She said, “They are better than your mama’s” I immediately knew I wanted to eat there. First found this place due to my father in law back in the 90's. He sort of had a magic sense to find the best places to eat. This place is exactly what it looks like and serves great food, always. I brought a friend out the last time I was here...I was surprised he had lived nearby for more than 20 years and missed it.
