Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q

If I could of put zero stars I would this is the worst version of a BBQ me and my husband ever tasted and we tried them all this place is over priced for the food they dish out sandwich was slapped together, the meat was bland, the collard greens was not collard greens idk what type of garlicy tasting stuff they put in that but it was not collards and then the loaded fries was bland and unappealing cheese tasted fake fries was cold and nothing tasted like it came from the heart. The staff was terrible except the two people actually putting in work which was the meat chopper and waitress they made the environment good.

Why would you convert into a fast food setup? Very aesthetically uncomfortable.

Usually good service, but today the lady at the window was very rude and sarcastic after waiting on her to get off the phone, always leaves a good tip!!! No more want be back.

The food here never disappoints! I dont live in Jacksonville, but whenever I come to town. I always make several stops here before flying back home. The staff here are
always so friendly and goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Get the BO HAWG w corn nuggets! Your welcome lol

Johnny was our amazing pit master. He made the whole experience wonderful. I was so impressed with every part of the meal, but the ribs and brisket were absolutely the best bbq I’ve ever had. So juicy and flavorful I didn’t even need any sauce. Will definitely be back!

Just wanted to shout out Candy after a late shift of work and was slammed throughout the day. It was 8 o’clock at night before I realized I hadn’t had anything to eat all day. I wanted something quick through a drive-through. I pulled up to look over the menu and was greeted right away by Candy on the mic.. Told her I’ve never been to a Bono’s and she was so friendly and personable. She made some great menu suggestions all of which I took her up on. And she was right the sweet and tangy barbecue sauce …on point… The baked beans were fire, and the sweet potato so delicious. I got the pulled pork sandwich and was impressed with the generous portion of pulled pork. In short, Bono’s did not disappoint but Candy really stood out! She is awesome and you guys have a gem on your team and most definitely the best person to have serving your customers!!

What happened??? This was the worst service we had ever received at Bono's. Granted we were there close to closing time, but there is no reason to turn the lights off on your customers. Food was cold, and the service was colder.

I have been a loyal customer of Bono’s on Gate Parkway for many years. Whenever my work schedule allows me time for lunch, I always try to sit in Tiffany’s section. She is consistently kind, takes the time to ask about my family, and even remembers my favorite menu item. No matter how busy the lunch rush gets, Tiffany always provides top-notch, attentive service. Thank you Tiffany and thank you Bono's for having such a great employee.

Save yourself the trouble. Terrible service. Outright rude and aggressive staff. You won't feel welcome here. Mediocre food and flavorless meat. Overpriced for what you get. My advice: drive right on by and pick a different place to eat.
