Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q

We only get to eat here once a year now that I’ve been transplanted by MAYO and we always come to BONOS. The food is always amazing and we wish BONOS would open up a restaurant in our hometown of PANAMA CITY, FL. Best bbq ever way better than any in our hometown!!!

Who needs barbecue sauce when the meat is so good? But the sauce is really good too. Not to mention the green beans and baked beans are excellent as well. This is our second time coming, but we will definitely be back. Jamie was a great server. She was super attentive and always on top of everything.

We felt bad for the server, she saw nothing was eaten on my plate and looked scared to ask so I didn't complain. I left my food uneaten and tipped well. If your slogan outside the door reads” if there’s not a pit, it's not legit” you should be ashamed when you serve highly processed reconstituted deli meat turkey as your turkey platter meat. That Turkey was rolled into a ball and squeezed out of a bag it never saw a pit. I think BBQ turkey from a BBQ joint should not be flat, smooth, and fake like a piece of rubber/plastic. Literally there should be a note that says it's not actually a real turkey breast. The ribs were burnt/dry and clearly reheated from yesterday the green beans were mush could not even use a fork to eat them. Ya’ll saw this when you plated the food, to serve it was wrong. It was an absolute waste of my $$ to eat fake food and reheated dried out leftovers.

Went through the drive thru tonight after work. I feel so bad I didn’t catch her name she was wearing a green sweater with sparkles (almost glittery?) anyways. Made my entire night thank you so much for packing everything so neatly and being patient with me. Much love to you and blessings your way. ❤️

management here is incompetent. this is the worst bono’s i have ever been to. seriously. the food was sooo old. had to have been sitting out for hours. it was crusty and cold. the drive through worker was so rude. i over heard the cooks talking about black mold. just avoid this bono’s. it was so chaotic in there. drive an extra 10 minutes and go to the town center Bono’s. it’ll be worth your money.

We ordered from DoorDash. Ordered pulled pork, ribs and chicken. Pulled pork was substituted w regular pork, without heads up. Didn’t receive any chicken. The fried corn on the cob was burnt to a crisp. Unedible. They put 2 sauce containers in the bag for a 3 meat combo and a large 2 meat combo. Skimping ain’t easy.

Overall just disappointing. I know how good Bono’s can be. I was a fry cook for one years ago. I would not have sent out half of what they did. Mac n cheese n coleslaw are bland. Right out of the bag, with no flavor added. We had a team that cared about their product. Can’t say the same for this location. Put some sugar in the slaw. Put some milk and cheese in the Mac. It makes a big difference. The way it comes off the truck, is like school cafeteria food. Sonny’s puts this place to shame.

I don’t usually post reviews unless the experience is either exceptional or noticeably below what I expect from a company’s standards. Unfortunately, my visit to the San Pablo location was disappointing.

The food was extremely unseasoned even the macaroni and cheese had no flavor, which is surprising for a barbecue restaurant. I only ate one spoonful due to the taste.

On top of that, the portion sizes were noticeably smaller than what I usually get at the Town Center location. I received less bread and less meat almost like a rib short and missing what would have been a full sausage link. At Town Center, the food is always flavorful, well-seasoned, and the portions are generous.

I never thought I’d eat a rib with absolutely no flavor, but that was my experience today. Hopefully, this feedback helps the San Pablo team improve, because Bono’s is usually solid just not at this location.

Received shrimp that hadn’t been deveined …was told it’s ok to eat shrimp excrement by the employees. So disappointed. I’ve been a loyal customer for almost 30 years….After them asking me to come up there and show them the food after I just had pneumonia….If you want seafood- go to Dockside.
