Brew and Barrel Tavern

We are here around 4pm. Found this place just by driving by. They appeared to have just opened. Very nice place inside. I had the tavern wings, they were amazing! My girlfriend had the dos Pollos it had chicken and mushrooms, also had the Caesars salad. The Wait staff was very good. Food was great! Would highly recommend!

I'm not a big wing eater but I must say they have won my over!!! Really great flavor and done just right. I've tried them several times now and always consistent!

Best sports bar ! Friendly staff & crowd. No loud screaming at tv’s like some sports bar. Safe enough to bring your kids . Pool tables & video games to keep them occupied & off their phones. Buckets of beers (5) for $15 ! Tavern Burger with fries $15. Great time watching football! ? They get ALL the Games. Food is amazing! You gotta check out this neighborhood sports bar. It’s actually owned by a Local .

I had the opposite experience here than the majority of reviews stated. This place looks super cool and fun, but it was strange and we left very disappointed.

They don’t have a cocktail menu which is weird to me since the bar seems like the prominent feature of the place. The service was meh. The food was VERY meh, almost bad. I love a Reuben sandwich, it’s one of those things where if it’s on the menu at a restaurant I’ll usually go for that. I tried the Reuben here and was sorely disappointed. The seasoning on the corned beef is just very off, it’s under salted and way too much cloves. and they don’t put Swiss on it, they use Gruyère cheese so the flavors are just very different. The server also recommended the Mac and cheese over the fries so I got that, and it was terrible. I don’t know how you could mess up Mac and cheese so badly but this stuff just tastes like velveeta melted over noodles. It was not good, and it was also served barely room temperature. The fries my husband got with his grouper sandwich I think were best part of the meal. The grouper sandwich wasn’t bad, but it didn’t blow me away.

We got fried pickles as an appetizer and couldn’t finish them. They are cut SO thick and the pickles are EXTREMELY sour, they were just very intense and unenjoyable.

Lastly, and this is just my random opinion, but I think that the restaurant feels like it has a ton of potential as a space, but it could use a makeover. The bench with pillows when you first walk is the only part of the restaurant with any personality. The space would feel a lot more interesting if there were lower pendant lights dangling above the tables and the colors of the walls were darker. It was too bright and felt like a bit like a cafeteria. And get rid of some of the hotel art on the walls.

The pool tables are awesome, but unfortunately we didn’t get to take advantage of them because there was a large group of kids and teenagers there that night playing.

I hope we can return on a different day maybe in a few months and give it another try.

Wife and I have been a few times since they opened. First couple of times were pretty good. Not great, but not bad at all.

This last time was just bad.

Me, my wife & kids met a couple of friends who were already there. My buddies wife ordered a blackened grouper salad. The grouper was extremely overcooked and over seasoned. It looked charred black on one side, and a normal-looking sear on the other. Like it was forgotten on the grille and not flipped timely. The fish was also small, dry and rubbery. She literally lifted it with her fork and it flopped around like a piece of plastic. It also didn’t look like any grouper I’d ever seen, and I catch & clean grouper quite often.

My wife and I split the burger with the pimento cheese and fried green tomato. The tomato was cut way too thick, making the burger troublesome to eat. Had to pull the tomato off and eat it separately. And the burger (I ordered medium) was completely charred on one side and way overcooked. Again, like it had been forgotten on the grille and not flipped timely. It was in my opinion inedible, but I ate as much as I could anyway.

We sent nothing back because I don’t believe in doing that. The moto of every kitchen is “If you’re not proud of the food, don’t serve it”. If they were proud of that, I don’t want to eat there. Ever.

The server was good which is why we gave two stars, and maybe the kitchen was just having a bad night, but these are reason people don’t come back to establishments. And sadly, we likely won’t be back with so many better places to go nearby.

The drinks here are a good value but whoever is on the grill is letting this place down. Our burgers and fish were all charred. Service was friendly and attentive. Not sure we will be back for dinner, more of a drinks and appetizer type of spot.

Nice place and the tacos are great. Two pool tables some dart boards and other stuff to do make it the perfect sorts bar. Would definitely go again.

Usually go as a night cap. Good hours for someone who gets out late from there own employment. Food is actually pretty good. I always get a hand held. If the have music, it would make it so much better
