I live in south Jacksonville and hadn't been to Avondale for a while. I've never tried the Brick. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the two women at the podium with smiles. I sat at the bar since it was just me. The bartender was very kind and immediately got my drink and put my food order in. My warm turkey sandwich was delicious. There were TV's on either side of the bar and lunch was a good value. I will definitely be back - there are so many good choices on the menu!

Our meal wasn’t bad but there were enough small things to warrant a lower review score. Specifically: - one appetizer ordered wasn’t received - The calamari portion was small - Service was a bit slow - The chicken on the chicken salad was dry. The above said, the calamari and corn soup were good. The setting is also nice (plan accordingly if driving as parking is limited). We just find the prices to be on the high side based on the food provided.

On a traveling home day we stopped in for dinner. The parking was a little interesting however, once we found a safe, stable, handicapped place for parking we were okay. The service and atmosphere was professional and kind. The food was delicious. It was slightly pricey. To me, somethings on the menu may have an enhanced price. In this current economic climate businesses are having to adjust all of it's pricing. The meal was great. I would like to revisit.

First timer. Had the best rack of lamb e.v.e.r. and that says a lot. The burger was tasty, the prime rib was delectable, but the French dip was only satisfactory. The waiter, Adam, made a significant impression, offering his sommelier experience to pair a perfect wine for the meals. Will definitely visit again!

Very welcoming atmosphere! It had an upbeat vibe. The Mediterranean salad was delicious. My husband said, the hamburger was largest & great quality he had eaten. It's a busy place, we went around 1:30 pm for lunch.
The service we received was notably slow, which impacted our afternoon. Furthermore, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered my burger medium rare and it was medium well at best. We found the preparation and taste to be less than satisfactory. We did enjoy that the restaurant was pretty friendly and we were able to bring our dog.

The only reason I deducted a star is because my partner got the rice bowl with steak and was really hoping for the steak to be hot even if the rest of the dish was cold. The steak was also cold even though it was just cooked. I also wasn't exactly a fan of my cocktail the white linen. Very sweet gin drink.
